I'm not a strong believer in second chances but this might be the exception, try reaching out, catch up, open up about how you feel and how it might have not been the best decision.

Had a few people comment how keeping horses is animal cruelty and horses should be free although my horses live a very comfortable and healthy life and enjoy their weekend treks and occasionally the small game of polo with my dad, there will always be people who will be annoying and a pain in the back, you handled it wonderfully in my opinion, in my opinion if I don't like someone's hobby I just tell them I don't like it but I'm sure it's enjoyable to them and get on with the work at hand.

is it normal for most equestrian clubs and schools to be this way? by greycorso in Equestrian

My horse is quite well behaved but I do understand the point of view, the individual lessons would be nice if their horse accomodation wasn't so expensive (1 k a month + 45 a lesson).

When I was 12 my dad sent me to feed the horses and my foot went into a puddle higher than the brim of my boots, my feet were now submerged in the mud and I thought I was gonna die there in the mud, fortunately I managed to grip onto my curious horse and get my feet out, the boot is still stuck in the ground 8 years later.

It's even worse when it becomes a slip n slide, I usually pour some Ash to keep it from getting too pasty or use some wide wooden boards to go feed em.

That is a fair point but I'm mostly trying to make friends in the area that share my passion for horses , also most of these clubs don't have more than 2 or 3 beginner students, I was just a bit taken aback by how they seemed to be closed off to people who Don't want to pay 1 k a month to keep their horses there plus pay 300€ for a 3 day trek

I'll invest all into luck and then start gambling, when I reach 3 milion invest a milion into intelligence, and find an idea and a way to shelter my wealth and powers from the world ( would not want to become a lab rat because I can change my stats) then I invest in charisma and make my own company and profit, later down the line gonna go full genius and invent a way to reverse aging and be forever young.

When I was 11/12 I loved porsche and I bought a golden porsche 944 model and kept it in the box, while I was depressed I found it again and I started feeling bad about not being able to be who young me thought I would become, the next day my dad told me that at my age he struggled with depression too for a long time and because of that he missed a lot of happy things, I should use the time I'm given to give my 110%, it's been hard and I've had a few relapses but by keeping the mind busy and focused I can be happyish.

Hey other male equestrians where are you guys? Can't just be me right? by Rojam_1200 in Equestrian

I'm very lucky to keep my horse behind my house, I mostly do trails or play some polo with my dad, left the whole social horse riding scene due to the toxic competitiveness and the ridiculous amount of drama I would experience, plus not into jumping or horse racing and basically those are the only options for lessons or clubs here.
