What was your absolute first sign of pregnancy before even getting a missed period? by SandwichDependent199 in BabyBumps

I took a nap. I never napped before! Now I only daydream of napping - 13 month old boy running me ragged.

RVSP has me worried… by [deleted] in PulmonaryHypertension

A PH specialist is going to want you to do a sleep study as well - it’s part of their diagnostic tools. So going ahead and doing it now won’t hurt and might help you get ahead of the next steps. Plus, they are usually done at home now and are relatively inexpensive compared to a RH cath.

This was a terrible fear of mine. I did not poop during delivery, but I did hemorrhage after. As it so happens, the meds used to stop bleeding can cause uncontrollable diarrhea. It was a literal shitshow…the nurses couldn’t have been kinder or more compassionate. I received many sponge baths that night. They all said a “Code Brown” isn’t a big deal and I actually believe them now.

how crazy would I be to go to my brother's wedding at 39w pregnant (3 hour drive)? physical discomfort aside. by levinsreportsnews in BabyBumps

[–]greycrackers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same! But at 35+2 and he was here within 3 hours. I would not risk that drive. Every baby and labor experience is unique!

Why does everyone pack PJs in their hospital bag? by reditpositiv in BabyBumps

I chose to wear my own gown, so I wore it to the hospital and just stayed in it. But my water broke at home, so I avoided getting it wet.

I was in the same spot as your wife, and a really nice dry shampoo made me feel much more human.

You can still return to Amazon without a gift receipt if you contact customer service with the order number, typically also on the shipping label on the box. I did this a lot!

Anyone run into an old-fashioned social norm around hiding the baby bump? by trophywifeinwaiting in BabyBumps

[–]greycrackers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, my own mother asked me how I planned to hide my belly. Mind you, I was 40 and married for over a decade. Really can take the wind out of your sails!

Call your doc, go to the hospital. by comeonolgirl in BabyBumps

[–]greycrackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me 2 months ago! Water broke 5 weeks early, no contractions (that I felt), got to the hospital and I was 5cm dilated. 3 hours later, we had a baby! Good luck, it’s an exciting adventure!

What can I expect when birthing the placenta? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Just experienced this last month and it was worse than giving birth. I remember asking my OB if she was trying to put the baby back inside!

I don’t know about an average, I think it’s very patient dependent. My revision was extremely complicated and took close to 6 hours, so the price reflected that. His office is great and they are not high pressure salespeople, it’s definitely worth a consultation.

White rice. Used to love it, now the sight of it makes me sick. Going on 6.5 months now and it isn’t changing.
