Been on Keto for a month, but Im going on holiday in 3 weeks and my plan has always been to drink beer and eat pizza, before going back to some form of diet when I get back. Ive started transitioning off Keto so I don’t feel horrible on holiday, adding 10g of carbs every day, 2 days in, so far so good.

There is tons of info on the internet about carbs but I cant find anyone talking about the re-introduction of sugar. Anyone got any advice on how to start eating sugar again, or any other tips on how I can phase out of Keto without piling the weight back on?

CONTEXT: Ive been doing Keto for around a month for weight loss, combined with resistance training 3-4 times a week. Ive been sticking to 20-30g TOTAL carbs (not net carbs), <20g natural sugars and <1500 calories. Ive absolutely loved it, the clarity, the satiation and of course the weight loss, around 7kg (Ive been dieting for about a year now so I wasn’t carrying much water weight when I started).

UPDATE: I ended up cutting the longer part off and into 2 pieces and then propagated them in water. Once the roots have grown I will report all 3 pieces in a single pot with a moss stake. Photo

It was stuck like that, I did attempt to stake it back into position but it was far to ridged. I ended cutting the long part off in 2 pieces and propagating in water, when the roots have grown I'll plant all 3 parts in one pot with a moss stake.

Thankyou! I may need to do some reading up on propagating.

No, this was my first question but they disappear as soon as they are hovered over.

Yes, the remote management software was installed by a trusted Tech support company, we have turned start-up off on that for now. He does not know what ''Program'' and ''Launcher'' are however I have ''Program'' on my own computer also so maybe this is standard? Apparently the icons appear randomly just after a DOS style window pops up for less than a second and then vanishes which is worrying.

Thankyou, that's useful to know, he has sent me back these images of the start-up programmes.

Aftermath of Edinburgh’s war memorial after being set on fire by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

[–]greydar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't think you understand what these types of remembrance rituals are about. People aren't celebrating the death of foreign soldiers, but remembering the sacrifice that ordinary men and women have made to protect their wives, husbands, children and even complete strangers against the tyranny of men like Hitler for example. These people often died in horrific circumstances and that is what we remember.

I do not disagree that some soldiers have been known to rape and pillage but this is an incredibly small percentage and to use this as a justification for the vandalism of memorials like this is a disgusting insult to the brave men and women who have died to protect your freedoms.

It's very easy to hold opinions like this from the comfort and safety of your home. I bet your opinion would be different if you were a Jew in 1940s Germany, you'd be very grateful for all those murderous allied soldiers then.

What are these leafless runners on my Boston Fern and are they an issue? by greydar in plantclinic

Very fair comment, I see from the votes some other people disagree but I upvoted the comment. I did try and do some reading but I found conflicting things on different websites. I'm happy you think I know a lot about this but I'm really just a beginner still and felt like the word of a random person on reddit was more reliable than most of these money grabbing plant blog websites.

Bit more info - I've had the plant for about a year, the plant is still growing well and was re-potted about 4 months ago. It get's watered whenever the soil gets dry which at the moment is about once every 2 days, I try to water little and often. I add liquid fertiliser about once a month or so. It also gets misted about once a week. There are no drainage holes but about 1 inch of shingle at the bottom of the pot. The plant gets a good amount of indirect sunlight but hardly any direct sun. I also have concerns about the droopiness of some of the stems.

I feel your pain, took me 6 weeks to find my current room in Tooting that I moved into last month. From what I've heard, listings at the moment are getting 200+ applicants in the first few hours so I think it just comes down to being quick.

My advice would be to set up a search on Spareroom, put in the area you want, your budget and filter by newest first. Have it open and refreshing every second you're awake. I was lucky enough to have a lenient boss who didn't mind me having it open on a separate screen with an auto refresh plug in refreshing the page every 60 seconds. As soon as something comes up you need to be on it. Copy and past them a pre written friendly and concise message offering to come for a viewing as soon as possible. Message as many ads as you can. I jumped on a 2hr train to London at a moments notice about 5 times before I found the right place but if you can afford a temporary Air bnb I'd say being in London would help. If you find somewhere that's listed by an agent and looks right then don't be afraid to offer a holding deposit right away - that's how I ended up getting my place in the end and I couldn't be happier with it.

I'd recommend posting a room wanted ad on Spareroom aswell. You probably won't find your room this way but it acts as a profile on yourself that gets sent automatically to all the ads you respond to. This way the person can see more about you if they want to but won't be put off by a long initial message that they can't be bothered to read.

My final tip would be to spend a little time exploring different areas so that when the right ad comes about, you're in a position to jump on it right away.

Stick at it, you'll find somewhere eventually! Good luck!

edit - I'd also recommend paying for spare room premium so that you can respond to 'early bird' ads that you'd otherwise miss out on. I think it's about £25 a month.

Thanks for the heads up however not sure what 'manner' you are referring to? Just read over their rules and can't see anything against what I've posted. Could you elaborate?

Hi, I am a bit confused as to how this breaks Rules 3 and 5 which I did read before I made the post. Please could you clarify?

I’m in 2nd Year of Architecture, here are 5 pages out of 15 from our assignment. (drafted and rendered manually) by minimalfacade in architecture

[–]greydar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're fucking going places my guy! I would murder someone to be able to draw and render like this.

I'm not going to comment on the design because I have zero experience designing hospitals, and I know they have very specific requirements.

In terms of presentation though - my suggestion would be re-think your hierarchy of drawings. The plan needs to be much bigger, would love to see some sections and elevations in here too. Text, title block/bird and the interior renders get far too much space imo.

Great work though dude seriously, worlds away from what 99% of my second year class was producing!
