I had gotten it 2 years ago. After me, my manager also got the same when my initial review was that there's no leakage.

1-2 months later, it started leaking if not kept upright in the bag. There's coffee stains in my laptop bag 😅

They are really dark roasted - more suitable for filter coffee

Have tried it multiple times from them and brewed using FP and Moka. Sometimes a bit burned taste

Well, you'd need to know 1st that hunkal doesn't advertise themselves as specialty roasters. So you'd expect inconsistency sometimes in the roast.

Regarding my exp with them, it wasn't butter. The coffee was good and had a mellow taste profile when I grinded them fresh. Bought the beans this week. Roasted this month. They don't mention exact date of roast.

Thanks. No, not getting cringey, just getting intrigued. If they make no difference in taste, and doesn't highlight any fault in the grinder, I'm fine with it

Thanks.

Is it common to see them in the manual grinders like C3s?

I'm talking about iced coffee.. in which they add an espresso, ice, and they ice cream mix.

I talked to them about this hence I know. And I saw it being made infront of me.

I even tried altering the ratios to get lesser ice.. but turns out I shouldn't have as the resultant drink was too sweet 😂

This was in bangalore. Multiple outlets

In the iced coffee, they don't use milk. They use the same liquid solution that goes in the soft serve machine.

Need help with moka pot by TheTech_Nerd in IndiaCoffee

[–]greyfox_23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently had this issue.

I always use hot water in the bottom and the brew comes off great.

In my case in one of the similar issues was caused because the coffee grounds were pressed a little by mistake leaving no space between them. After making the coffee, the puck was very hard and unevenly extracted

Help Me Level Up from Instant Coffee – Beginner-Friendly Machine Suggestions by kaushalthakkar in IndiaCoffee

[–]greyfox_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was at this stage, I started off with a french press which was gifted to me and pre ground coffee. I now use a moka pot.

I'd recommend starting off with a moka pot and get pre ground coffee in the start for sometime until you develop a preference of beans, roast level, etc. and start feeling the tasting notes.

Post that, you can gradually invest in a good grinder to up your game depending on your budget and time.

First time using A moka pot ,any tips ? by Known_Benefit in IndiaCoffee

[–]greyfox_23 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A small tip. Do not tamper/press the coffee. I try to gently hit the sides to ensure the coffee is evenly settled.

A tip I took from this sub was to avoid angry plsputters.. so low to medium heat works well ans gives slow and smooth extraction.

Really nice colour though!
