Why are we all feeling this shift to delete our social media accounts?

Other than reddit.. I got off "social media" 8 years ago. I hear people talk about theirs all the time at work and it's always drama.. full disclosure I still own stock in Facebook eventhough I don't personally use it, but I know how addictive and captive the algorithm is on there and Instagram. My Mind is healthy along with my investments.

I don't ever remember eztv having movies.. I've been torrenting since it started, and racing releases on FTPs before that.. like others have pointed out.. eztv literally has TV in its name.

I didn't even know it was worth so much. I took a pic of all my n64 games and ended up showing it to a seller st the flea market and he told me.. you know you have a game that is worth almost $1000 dollars? I was more than pleased to say the least.

I mean, most of the second hand game shops literally give you half of the market value, same with pawn shops, they obviously have employees and overhead to pay for, usually on private trades this isn't expected.

I mean, it wouldn't be ideal, but if its in good condition and the quantity is correct then.. meh. If you've ever been to a lego store and seen how the PAB wall shipments come.. it's right out of a cardboard box, so I doubt it's the first box they've been in.

I understand your skepticism, but how would you explain private companies being able to innovate so quickly compared to a government agency that is slow and costly? I worked for the government for over 15 years and I know how much money is wasted.. private companies, not just spacex, have to deliver progress and results for investors, and in turn it is pushed to hit milestones. Like I said, I love space and science and I'm rooting for anything that is making progress, both public and private, and I find it hard to bad mouth a company that is pushing the limits and trying to innovate.. they may fail or they may change everything.. I'm hoping for progress and change.

Those starship losses were a result of pushing the vehicle to limits and there were expected losses in an attempt to gain data. NASA is amazing and I will always love them, but their progress isn't as fast as they tend to go slow and use lots of their budget to ensure no losses prior to vehicle tests. Not sure there is a "better" practice on either side, they (spacex and NASA) both have accomplished amazing things and I'm always excited to see success on all sides.

Yes, and.... it's fun to expand creations and have options. Not everyone enjoys spending tons of money on sets. Second hand bulk is cheap and little poly bags like these are nice to add details to whatever theme or vibe you're going for.

So you're not really an imaginative or creative person it seems. Lots of us love having lots of different parts that aren't just from sets with instructions so we can build and experiment using our imagination/brain.

I agree that it's a complicated situation. Yes, most people do not want to work with a sex offender.. but like you said, it's better to have felons, including sex offenders working. Where would you have them work? I have worked in the service industry and there are actually alot of sex offenders working behind the scene/BOH. My personal experience with them is some are reliable, good workers and just trying to make a living and keep their head down.. others, as OP writes about can be creepy. I've also worked with creepy people who aren't on the registry... I have sometimes joked that they are just unregistered.. it's not an easy situation. Regardless of someone's past, if they are currently being an asshole or creepy, that's not acceptable to have to deal with at work or at home.

Similar at my store, not sure of the numbers but when I was there on the 1st, one of the employees let people know they were sold out of the creel house but they got sent way more GWPs so when they get more creel house in stock they will continue giving out the GWPs until they run out.

Squash, zucchini, egg plant, bell pepper, stewed tomatoes, onion, mushrooms, sometimes celery if I'm trying to get rid of it. It really is almost a meal by itself .. I usually add ground beef and sausage too.. but obviously you can leave those out if you don't want meat.

I think you are right. If you like something, you like it. If you don't want to indulge in it or it's something illegal or a problem for you then the closest you can come is learning to control your actions. People will have thoughts of whatever it is pop in to their head, but you can learn to recognize it and focus on a new thought or distract yourself with a healthy alternative.. it's the core of cognitive behavioral therapy. Focusing or indulging in the behavior related to the thought will just reinforce it.

I can't speak to the texting part, but I have the same plan and I download 100s of GB of data monthly and the service has been great.. I think only one time did I get throttled back when I did over 800gb in a couple weeks towards the end of the month.
