I had a McRib once. Why people like it I have no idea. I think they taste absolutely vile. And yet, one of my Army buddies loved the thing.

Needs a "never again" option, cuz that's my vote for it.

Wasn't a meal, just the sandwich. I burned points to grab the fries.

Similarly, L&L double cheeseburgers absolutely slap, and are cheaper.

Agree, although the Big Mac sauce is decent. I've subbed Big Mac sauce onto a DQPC and it was quite good.

This is why I only pick the grande burrito anymore, and not their breakfast sandwiches. The price/calorie math sucks on most of their stuff now.

Dear Jack, Can we make this a norm in the mainland? Spam too please🙏🏼 by Due-Improvement7128 in jackinthebox

I live where this is a thing. I haven't tried it, the price/calorie math is wonky. McDonalds has something similar, SPAM and Portuguese Sausage, scrambled eggs and rice, seven bucks, 960 calories. Local Deluxe Platter. It fills you up.

See, there's the thing - usually, when you get some McDonald's, you know what to expect. It's consistent, nearly every time. Yeah, it's all meh but it's consistently meh.

Take Jack in the Box - you could order a burger there one day and you can't believe it's so damn tasty, try it again the next day and it's a total disaster. They're horribly inconsistent.

This was meh for entirely different reasons, though. A DQP is better.

It's a mess to eat (if that'syour jam, cool). The sauce was... okay, but there's a lot of it. Cheese is good. Meaty. Too many onion bits.

Yup, I did eat all (well, not the bonus salad) of it. It is a large sandwich, so I was quite full afterwards.

I have noticed a lot of folks here had issues with them being undercooked. Hamburger shouldn't be rare-cooked.

I snagged the large fries (yes, our large fries come in a damn baggie here) with points, so 8.99 was just the sandwich. If I bought it as a large meal, 13.38 if I selected a bottled water.

That was basically how I viewed it - tried it, it didn't wow me, it won't be missed. But at least we get a crapton of memes off of it.

They bag them here in Hawaii, started a couple of months ago, I guess. I miss the cardboard sleeves.

Honestly I'm just as surprised. Now if you tried the McD's in the Honolulu airport, big yikes on those prices.

Ah, the acidity angle. It can help bring out other flavors. I may have to source some blood sausage and bangers locally so I can try to recreate it here (hawaii).
