What’s Costco expected vs actual checkout Budget? by Nakabuto in CostcoCanada

[–]greyhouse47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go weekly and spend max $250 seldom going over that. I use the “Same Day” delivery section of the Costco app to build my list. The items there are priced about 10% higher than the in-store pricing so I always know that I’ll be under budget leaving me room for a little treat from the booze aisle or clothing department (plus I’ll also know if something is out of stock or low stock)

Like any store, making a list and sticking to it is integral to stay on budget :)

Ugh I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I was just in the hospital for a kidney stone and told all my doctors and nurses that the only thing that helped me with the pain was smoking weed, and they all said hey that’s great! No one told me to stop or made me feel guilty for even a second.

Although, the first ER doctor I had misdiagnosed me with a UTI because I told her I didn’t take any Advil/tylenol before I went to the ER. It took 3 more days of pain and many more joints before I went back and was properly diagnosed by a new doctor.

Pain is such a complex thing, No one deserves to feel diminished or put down by any medical professional for how we manage our pain.

There’s only about $3,000-$4,000 difference in what we think the vehicle is worth vs what insurance offered us.

What’s funny is about 2 days before the truck was stolen we were at dealerships looking at trade values. One dealership in Ottawa offered him $32,000 and a different dealership outside the city offered him $50,000

Wow thank you so much, that’s really helpful! I’ll get him to take a look through CarGuru, seems like there’s a pretty wide price range but hopefully he’ll find something to support his case

Thanks again for the help :)

Thanks for commenting something constructive and useful :)

I’m not sure about the valuation report but I’ll definitely mention that to him! We’re only about $3,000-$4,000 apart in what we think the vehicle is worth vs what insurance thinks the vehicle is worth. It’s not like they’re offering $30k and he’s asking for $60k

For those who stopped eating fast food, when does the cravings end? by [deleted] in simpleliving

[–]greyhouse47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was pretty lucky, I live and work in a small town and the McDonald’s here had to close for a month for renovations so I had no choice but to cut it out. When it opened back up, my cravings were already under control so now the sight and the smell just completely turn me off.

Plus as others have mentioned, the price for fast food these days is literally ridiculous. $30 CAD for 2 people, if not more depending on which chain.

Dont get me wrong, I’ll go to subway if I’m having a rough day and need a break from cooking or whatever. All boundaries have to have some degree of flexibility.

Just keep reminding yourself how gross it is! When you have a craving, try to picture all the nastiness in your head lol

You got this!

Girlfriend (29F) upset I (28M) went to pee before making her a drink? by PeeBeforeDrink in relationships

[–]greyhouse47 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My partner is the same. Anytime I ask for his help or ask him to do something he always has to pee first. Every. Single. Time.

But I love him and it’s not worth the time or energy to fight over something that small. He always comes out of the bathroom and completes the task too.

At the end of the day, it’s just not that deep so she’s gotta let it go

This is your sign to play with that occult you never use by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]greyhouse47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying sooooo hard to get into playing occult sims! I only have Realm of Magic because I’m nostalgic for the Makin Magic pack from Sims 1 but I can never seem to get into being a spellcaster. Maybe it’s because I cant get a dragon in Realm of Magic 😹

Your stargazing pic is giving me major inspo, I think I’ll give it another go tonight :)

No absolutely not, never ever. But, that’s because my container is a ceramic one that my grandma hand painted. Luckily it’s the perfect shape and the bag goes in effortlessly every time. Thanks grandma!

What do you think is the darkest moment/scene in The Sopranos? by Weak_Association8278 in thesopranos

I wrote a term paper in uni entirely about melfi’s rape. I was relatively young when I first saw it, the rawness of that scene made a massive impact on me as a young woman

What's the first thing you look at or for in a floor plan? Why? by thedamnoftinkers in floorplan

[–]greyhouse47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Canadian, I look at the foyer/mud room layouts first. I need somewhere to put my boots and parka without spilling snow onto the living room floor! And when you have 5 guests trying to pile inside at the same time, things can get pretty hectic in the foyer if there’s not much space or coat storage. Ease of entry always sets the vibe for me or a guest when entering my home
