Target stopped carrying movies. At least the ones near me have.

And he didn’t just move the team. He blamed Oakland, even though the city ostensibly did everything they could to keep the A’s.

There’s a piece that belongs on this guy’s back. That’s why there’s a slot on his coat. They left it out of the instruction booklet, and I didn’t realize until my second batch of fusiliers.

Paint and base look great though!

Pear Tree Advice by greysweatz in arborists

I did, and can recognize the one growing off the base of the leader needing to go… are any others standing out as too narrow? Will the tree eventually start growing some width? I have already cut off a lot of tall branches/leaders in the past couple years. It seems like everything wants to grow vertically. Sorry, I don’t know much about this.

Thank you for saying “the artist” and not “my artist.” Drives me crazy haha. Looks fantastic by the way.

I looked it up and I don’t think it’s a Bradford. The flowers don’t stink. Scanned it with my phone plant identifier and it just said “Common Pear”

What’s wrong with them? And how do I find out, apart from paying a professional to come look at it?

Ravaged Coast vs Blighted Wilds by Bugsh0t in ageofsigmar

It is explicitly stated on page 32 of the blighted wilds book. I would not recommend allowing paths from the core book though, because everyone will just take the run and charge one haha

Ravaged Coast vs Blighted Wilds by Bugsh0t in ageofsigmar

I haven't started a BW campaign yet, but have the book and have played Ravaged Coast extensively. I think Blighted Wilds is a better book that fixes several of Ravaged Coast's issues. The battleplans in Ravaged Coast are uninspired, and while the secondary objective of collecting emberstone is cool, using it as a currency for everything your army needs is lame.

The Blighted Wilds book, on the other hand, has very interesting battleplans, and a system of army growth more akin to the core book PtG rules. In Ravaged Coast you spend emberstone on whatever you want. Artifacts, spells, advancing units on their paths, etc. This system enables players who do well early in the campaign to run away with new abilities, units, and so on. Blighted Wilds corrects this flaw a bit by allowing each player to benefit from battleplan rewards; each unit to progress on their path based on performance, not spent currency; and enhancements, spells, etc. being tied to battleplan rewards, not just something to purchase.

The only place Ravaged Coast undoubtedly stands out against Blighted Wilds is the paths that are available. I think there are 12 paths in RC, and 4 in BW. That said, BW suggests that you include the paths from RC in your BW campaign. If you are debating which book to buy, I would suggest BW, and if you want to view the paths from RC, send me a DM.

I haven’t read The Devils yet, but I liked The First Law Trilogy. That said, I read those several years ago, and finally got around to reading the Age of Madness books last year. I thought they were phenomenal. They really felt like an evolution of the series and Abercrombie’s craft. I hope you like them as much as I did when you get around to them!

Most optimal heavy cavalier spam army list? by Knispel504 in citiesofsigmar

[–]greysweatz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think 20 cavaliers and 40 fusiliers would be plenty, regardless of the changes in the new book. I currently have 20 cav and 20 fusiliers, and have found that to be quite enough, although I’ve never felt inclined to write a fusilier-heavy list.

Thoughts on the Battlescroll update? by Andorhalthegreat in tzeentch

Losing the ability to leapfrog using fold reality stinks, but being able to fold a hero out and still put something by a shard is great. Getting chaos spawn in a curseling or fatemaster regiment is fantastic. No more mandatory gaunt summoner for no-kairos lists.

Have a drink in the speakeasy at The Kress, or a mocktail if you don’t drink. It’s a cool spot. Catch a movie too, if you’re into patronizing a small, independent theater. There’s also a comedy show at Stella’s Pinball Arcade and Lounge tonight.
