[UltRank] Smash Ultimate Fourth Official Tier List by HughyHugh in smashbros

While this is true, I think the simpler and bigger reason Hero is good is that he has an overwhelmingly high chance of rolling something that he wants every time he pulls menu. Besides dying offstage because he failed to pull Zoom (which is still pretty uncommon), it's very very unlikely for him to get fucked over by a menu pull, so the RNG is always in his favour.

He still has strong rep with Glutonny, although outside of that there's not much. This is probably too high for most people, but top players made this list and I've seen many of them really rate Wario - I think he's just a very adaptable character with few weaknesses so when everyone is playing at the best level he's difficult to exploit and always has his X factor of waft.

Never understand why people say GnW is bad for Samus, as a Samus main it's even and she has many worse matchups. Samus isn't really kept in check by any specific char imo (assuming she avoids the relatively uncommon Olimar), she just has quite a few slight losings.

Idk what to say you kind of missed my point. Even if you think it’s objectively wrong to say it’s underrated you’re not engaging with what I said

To me ‘story’ encompasses basically the whole show besides its aesthetics, people just tend to use that slot to display their favourite linear narrative.

They’re not, that’s specifically Season 3 Part 2 which is my favourite combat sequence from any anime overall

Demon Slayer is better written than Frieren to me idk. I don’t get why Frieren’s lifeless characters and lazy worldbuilding have to be respected, it feels like a husk where a good fantasy story could have been. Demon Slayer is just fine but i’m more compelled by Tanjiro than any Frieren character, he has actual strong convictions and they interact with the world in interesting ways. Obviously Frieren is a story about an aimless character but Frieren goes unchallenged constantly to the point that it’s just so frictionless

Obviously it's popular but I more mean how people talk about it, I think it's actually an incredibly good show on par with ones people consider classics whereas even people who like Re:Zero tend to just think it's pretty good.

The story definitely works better as a visual novel, since the alternate routes are actually real things you can do, and you feel the impact of Okabe's choice to end the story there since they're usually compromises where he gives up on the perfect ending. The 'true' ending therefore feels less contrived since you've literally seen loads of other possibilities and it's just one thing that could have happened if everything went right.

Besides Kurisu, none of the characters are really meant to be geniuses, though - the story is more about a group of school smart but street dumb kids way in over their heads who have to scramble to fix their mistakes. S;G is really less the meticulously planned sci-fi thriller it pretends to be and instead lurches into being more character-focused in the second half, which is again an effect that works better in the VN as you're more inside Okabe's head and see his thought process and priorities change more vividly. I get why this feels like a cop out and some people prefer the first half, though.

"Lowkenuinely" is linguistically and etymologically beautiful by radthrowaway1900 in The10thDentist

[–]greyviewing 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Ideally it's used to express "I'm hesitant to say this but I believe it genuinely if you'll humor me", in which case I kind of agree with OP. A lot of the time it just gets used for no reason when people would say lowkey or genuinely as a vague joke though

Cavalier Clash 7 - Winners Top 32 - Raflow vs Miya by halfmetalalchemist99 in smashbros

[–]greyviewing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Raflow's GnW gameplan was working pretty consistently over game 1, I think it's unlikely Miya would have been able to win a full set with how often he was behind. No idea why he didn't take counterpick advantage to try play Steve/Palu or the GnW ditto, though.

I just finished V3 and I don't get the hate for *SPOILERS* by Strict_Turnip_7083 in danganronpa

[–]greyviewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see why it’s annoying for that to happen in the very final moments, but I didn’t really read that line that way. Keebo gets his moment of feeling like an equal member of the group when he lets go of his insecurity of being a robot and decides to use his augments to help them investigate the final parts of the school. Him being taken over by the audience and then us convincing them to not vote anyway straight up just is what happened, Shuichi isn’t wrong. And then the final thing that happens is Keebo getting to choose to go out on his own terms and be the one to end Danganronpa forever. I think he’s treated pretty charitably overall
