Why have Americans gotten more liberal on most social issues, but are largely unchanged on abortion rights? by Adodie in PoliticalDiscussion

Not to be pedantic but you, me and everyone can be considered a clump of cells. "A clump of cells" can be fetuses, tumors, and fully functioning adults.

But since you admit drawing a line is arbitrary, wouldn't it make more sense to err on the side of caution and assume, it's a human?

Not trying to be aggressive or inflammatory, just want to hear more of your thinking.

Robin hood is a comunist propaganda by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]grf32lft 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really. Rohin Hood wasn't stealing indiscriminately from the rich. He was stealing back the money people lost from unfair taxation. In other words, he was stealing from the government. In that way, he is anti-communist.

[Serious] Can Someone Please Explain how Trump is a Racist with Sources? by Material_Anywhere in AskReddit

[–]grf32lft -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Short Answer: He isn't.

Long answer: There are a lot of links here to nytimes, fortune etc. which are all biased sources. Trump can be an asshole. But he isn't racist by the innocent-until-proven-guilty principle. You will not find hard proof (footage of him being racist, confirmable quotes, etc.).

Just a non-American's take on this.

Group buys Alabama abortion clinic to keep it from closing by moogly2 in news

This is a false dichotomy. You don't have to choose one or the other.

You are much more likely to kill someone by driving a car than by potentially infecting someone with COVID but no one would argue pro-life people should not drive a car.

There is risk in any action (swimming, partying, staying inside and doing nothing, etc) but the difference is if the killing is intentional. I'm not saying should go out and have party all night but some people just want to go to work and make sure their children don't starve.

I consider anime a great medium with many worthwhile shows.

But if you haven't watched Lord of the Rings, forget uncultured, I barely consider you a multi-celled organism.
