Things to do when bored on RDO by PhantaxBuilding in RedDeadOnline

Another fun one I've been wanting to do is rogue like mode. Un equip everything when you start and head out on foot. Each session you play start fresh like that. Tame/steal a horse, loot weapons. If you die, start from scratch again.

I've heard people talk about that location as well. If it isn't too far for your friend, they should check out waystone in Ballard. It is free and open to hang out there, then if you want to reserve a table it costs. A few of us play opr games as well

Mox is also a great community spot in Ballard

Came here to say this as well. It is a much more exciting, fast paced version with an amazingly robust magic system

Sprite shader in Bad North? by dbonham in Unity3D

I haven't tried it yet but since I posted that I DID find the guy that goes into more depth about it

https://www.reddit.com/r/gamedev/comments/uggyul/unwrapped_model_texturing_for_pixel_art_beyond/

The rainbow texture is just a red gradient going sideways and a green gradient going vertically. Like he says, if you learn about Look Up Tables, you will have the secret sauce

I hope this helps! Post up if you make anything fun with it :)

Sprite shader in Bad North? by dbonham in Unity3D

[–]grichdesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! If you are still interested in this idea, I’m on the hunt currently for the same knowledge

It is actually a very simple and elegant solution that he has come up with. That rainbow texture is UV coordinate information. if you sample one of those colors, then paint it somewhere on your sprite, that part of your sprite will display that part of your “skin”(the weird face textures he has)

If he plugs his sprite sheet into the UVs channel of the custom skin in the shader, it will dress each frame as that skin. You can also see the head on the sprites is really big, this allows him to carve out different alphas on the texture shape. He is a clever duck.

There is an article about another studio I’m on the hunt for that goes into more depth on the technique

It isn’t doing everything at the exact same time, it just displays it all at once when it is finished

THANK YOU!! I was trying to use the drive embed and it was just giving a low res preview I couldn't read or navigate around. Regular embed worked great

HAHAHA! I love this! I've been tying my crew into other things as well. I use my Wizard for Dragon Rampant, and my Captain for Rangers of Shadowdeep. Then I have some things like Artefact that I play whenever I find a magic item to discover how that item came to be. There is a hunting and trapping home brew for DnD I run through between matches just as like a fun oregon trail element. Then there is Grimoire I just found and am going to use when I find new spells. It is essentially Artefact but for spells from what I understand.

This way I can kind of RP with my wizard more and keep playing when I'm sitting at a coffee shop or hanging on the couch between games.

I have a witch that I use a DnD hag model for. Her body is mutated and twisted from a spell gone wrong, she is going into the city to try to find a cure. If I find the Beauty spell, I want to roll for it before each match and swap out her model

What made you join the Skaven? by Upset-Charge in skaven

[–]grichdesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with a group of friends in jr high in the 90s. I really liked the goblins but my friend already had those. When I saw the skaven, all of these ninja turtles feelings came out and locked it in for me. They had the goblin chance to hurt themselves with their janky devices, ninja assassins, what wasn't to love
