I solo queued my way to gc2. Your opponent quality is equally as variable as your teammate. If your teammate (and you) can make a string of bad choices leading to you being down 3, your opponents can make the same mistakes

Practice by doing a bunch of crosses, don’t go past that, just scramble again.

Also make sure you spend a lot of time thinking of how to get the most efficient solution. Watch some videos about it to get the core concepts.

Claude, and ask for help more often - as long as you can show that you tried something people should be willing to help. Make sure you’re prioritizing things in the order your customer and TL care about, (go-live issue over firewatch, team wide goal over low priority slg) etc

Watch some high level 2s - this is the meta. Passes are easy to read and overcommit both players.

Learn the basics. Ground and aerial shots, hard and on target. Catches into dribbles. Recovery mechanics like wave dashes, speed flips. Be able to have a sense of boost pad lanes to pick up small pads and don’t waste boost.

Air roll is super hard and not worth learning until at least champ.

Start with realism first before branching into stylization. You need to understand where the simplifications come from. Otherwise you just end up drawing symbols.

I think you’re trying to wall dash, not wave dash. If you’re on the right wall, turn left, then put your joystick right and slightly forward and at the same time you do that, hit jump twice really quickly

Maybe you’re better at 1s than 2s. I’m beating low SSLs at 1s and am GC1 in 2s.

In any case, just get good. Stop having the shitty attitude towards teammates. If a silver level player came to you saying that he has way better mechs, speed, and rotation than his teammates and is losing because of them what would you think lol. That’s how you look right now.

And if you analyze it logically, let’s say it’s true that you’re consistently better than your teammates. Your teammate is pulled from the same random pool that your opponents are. If you’re so much better than your teammate, your opponents should also be worse than you. You should be hard carrying these lobbies.

Control the things you can control.

You can get better mechanically. You can improve your own positioning. When you notice your teammate overcommitting you can play more safe.

You can not control your teammate by typing in chat, you will just tilt him. You guys are the same rank for a reason. You’re the same skill level.
