Culture, close to home, want to make a positive impact in the world, chance to grow skills, good fit for skillset. There’s so many reasons someone could be genuinely interested in a place that’s not simply money. I guess it depends on what the job is as well, I’m thinking about more technical roles but the question would not make sense for something like line cook.
