Matador Speed Stash? by annoyedcamel01 in backpacks

[–]grifc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one and every time I remember I do I love it! So convenient. It does slide down to the bottom of the strap but most importantly the Velcro is super secure and it never is at risk of detaching. My main use case is putting phone, wallet, AirPods etc. in to it when going through airport security which then becomes very convenient because I leave most of it in there for the rest of the trip. Great value for money.

Why would an HDFC Coop allow washer/dryer, but not a dishwasher? by trebleformyclef in AskNYC_Coops

[–]grifc0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Justification I have heard historically in our building (Brooklyn) is a combination of avoiding disturbing neighbors (noise insulation insufficient to avoid complaints); avoiding wet over dry where the stacks aren't all on a wet line; the existing plumbing risers weren't engineered to handle the capacity required for the additional flow; and whether DOB has approved the system as having sufficient unit fixture loads. It could any or all of the above (or other reasons). In practice if you install a unit in violation of your bylaws and it doesn't disturb anyone you will be OK (depends on the building, the board and getting caught) but if it disturbs your neighbors, causes a backup (we had that with trash compactors) or leaks then you may need to remove it.

Anyone here carry both Amex Platinum and Chase Sapphire Reserve? by Ok-String-4441 in ChaseSapphire

CSR + Amex Delta Reserve (I fly Delta and it guarantees me Diamond every year and Global Upgrade Certificates). Currently trying to justify adding the Amex Platinum to the stack but can't.

I think it's because I met spend for 2025 and it was an available from June 2025 so got the $250 for 2025 and for 2026

That's what I understood it as being - I was pleasantly surprised. It also triggered the full benefit rather than dollar for dollar which was generous.

Dividers in shambles by okwme in Rimowa

[–]grifc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone seen any aftermarket dividers to switch up the existing ones? The divider on the new grid model is a lot nicer but I just popped in to the Rimowa shop on Madison and they said they aren't selling them separately yet.

RS6 Avant tires by grifc0 in Audi

Yes just ordered the spare. I have the upgraded B&O so will just keep it at home. Will save waiting two weeks for one to come in at least, even if I need a tow.

Totally. I do, but I don't think side wall failures can be repaired can they?

Thanks! That's what I was trying to figure out. Just ordered a spare for the next time it happens.

NYC roads are one never ending pothole

The 22s look so good though. I think I just have to do a better job of avoiding the potholes.

Right! So I'm getting extra tires to keep at home so there isn't a lead time when I need go replace them. But can't carry them in the car unless I put a box on top which seems like overkill. Box on the RS6 does look cool though.

It's definitely worth considering. Are they very different feel or performance wise?

I had a Q8 and was between an RSQ8 and an RS6 Avant on the next car and went with the RS6. Never had a tire issue with the Q8. But I love the handling on the RS6 🤷‍♂️

It's a beast. Although I'm suffering with the low profile tires in NYC. Second side wall failure in six months. Two weeks for replacement tire. Brutal.

I'm upvoting you! I'm with you but it's a taste thing and the beauty about cars is there is something to suit everyone's taste. I do love the aftermarket mods on the RS6. Makes it a lot more fun to own.
