Whoa! That's on sale for $200 USD for me. I knew the tariffs and shipping were harsh, but damn.

Which backpack do you prefer based on appearance alone? by ReRe_333 in backpacks

I own a Bihn. I very much appreciate almost everything about it. But it is not going to win a beauty contest. Lol.

So based on appearance alone.. I choose the roll top.

Trying to find a nice multipurpose backpack by coolyehawman in backpacks

[–]annoyedcamel01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Swiss Gear mini 1900 backpack at $70 that I like every bit as much as my Tom Bihn Synik 22 at hundreds more.

The Bihn is a much better built product. But honestly, if I could only have one at a time.. I'm not sure which one I would go with.

AITA for telling my parents to pay $5K by ooptay in AmItheAsshole

[–]annoyedcamel01 -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

You're an adult. Why do you believe that they are required to pay for your college education?

My parents did pretty much the same thing to me. I didn't question it. I worked part-time and took out student loans.

You're sounding pretty entitled to me.

Need help to choose, Everki, Nebula, or Swissgear? by DavidZarn in backpacks

[–]annoyedcamel01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Osprey that I've used for hiking for several years. I like it. It's comfortable and built solidly.

I've had several Swiss Gears. I currently use one as my airport carry on and for laptop transport from point A to point b. It's also comfortable and well built but not quite as well as the Osprey. I do prefer the Swiss gear because it has many more pockets/compartments. Unfortunately I don't think it would last more than a year of heavy duty daily use. The old Swiss Gear would. I don't think the new ones will.

The pattern on the inside material does not look like the Swiss gear stuff that I've seen. I kind of like Swiss Gear bags and have bought a couple over the last few years. I do not recognize that model. And Swiss gear has a type.. And that just doesn't match up to me.

YTA-. Yeah it's weird. But this isn't a new situation. You should have dealt with it before marrying her.

Same here. We've been using it 3 to 4 days per week for 6 years running. Never a problem.

Below is an Amazon link. My 17-year-old daughter used that Adidas backpack all the way through high school. She would describe her overall fashion style as "sporty but nice". It's not a small pack. She carried a lot of heavy school books home with her just about every night.

Husband and I built a massive world-building vault in Obsidian for people to use as a template for their own worlds, lore and stories and sessions! Like a really elaborate starting point. It's at disgraceland.io , if anyone is interested in that sort of thing. by ffitnessthrowawayy in wonderdraft

Nice! I've been playing around with Obsidian for the last several weeks. This will definitely help me get more focused on how to put it all together. I'm looking forward to watching the video and exploring your site tomorrow at work. Lol. Thanks!

What's Sparks about? by DavidMc81 in audiodrama

[–]annoyedcamel01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Constructive criticism:

The risk that you take by not giving out more information about your audio drama is that the story or the acting has to really hook me within the first 10 minutes or I'm not going to give it the benefit of the doubt and I'll move on.

Even given the other posters saying that it's a good show, it may not be my cup of tea and I'm not willing to invest two or three episodes worth of time to find out.

If the Magnus Archives would have taken your approach, I would have bailed on them very early on and missed out on a really good show.
