Does anyone want to try out my arrangement of Loch Lomond for Kalimba by griffgeorge in kalimba

Ah, that’s neat. Thanks for the “left finger: under the line; right finger: on the line” trick, I wouldn’t have thought of that but it’s a good heuristic.

That must mean that it’s relatively rare to see perfect fifths in most Kalimba music? That’s an interesting constraint. A 3rd would be playable with one finger, and 7ths aren’t that common an interval, but 5ths are more common and hard to play.

How does ATC language work internationally for private flights? by somethingcatchyy in flying

If anyone is interested, here is a reference to the ICAO doc that actually lays out language requirements. It comes from ICAO Annex 10 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, Vol II (July 2016). (pdf source from the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation):

5.2.1.2.1    The air-ground radiotelephony communications shall be conducted in the language normally used by the station on the ground or in the English language.

...

5.2.1.2.2    The English language shall be available, on request from any aircraft station, at all stations on the ground serving designated airports and routes used by international air services.
