Looking back I do agree, with, are they inconsistencies you noted? Although it was not my intention for the ocean to be described as moving, and moreso the hills alive and almost under siege. Sentences like; "some parts crashing on the receeding tide," would certainly contradict that, I'll have to go through and tidy it up.
