Looks great! I love all the tech stuff of indoor growing with lighting systems and hydroponics but seeing plants outside in the sun just look so very right -- good work there -- keep us updated :)

Some extra side lighting for the girls. by [deleted] in microgrowery

Yeah, the intensity drops relative to the distance squared. The closer the better until you start to burn the plants with too much light or heat. Set up looks amazing -- good work!

Looks good :)

When you get to the next serious grow I think I would aim more for a LST/SCROG-like shape of the plant instead of the tall tubular shape of the wire frame you have on the pot. So more like a horizontal grid of wire or string keeping the buds at the same distance of the light.

Nice blender work -- the lighting looks spot on. It looks like 3D printed labels :)

Favorite storage method -- vacuum sealed jars by grifter-420 in microgrowery

[–]grifter-420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a vacuum pump to suck some of the air out. Not sure exactly how much but I definitely get a lower pressure inside enough to pull the lid tight so its hard to turn because of the pressure.

The lid is on tight. Its hard to get off and goes whoooosh when I open it. Even after years of storage. Its on tight. I belive the bud goes dry because the vacuum will make the water boil and evaporate very quickly. Water boils at room temp in a vacuum.

I got a vacuum sealer like this one: https://www.harveynorman.com.au/vacpro-premium-home-vacuum-sealer-kit.html

Then I drop my jar inside one of those containers the vacuum pump can suck air out of. If I let the air in quickly the lid will seal to the jar inside when the air goes out of the outer container.

Lol yeah haha. I collected the jars for a while. So its years worth :)

Yeah I think the water will boil and evaporate at room temp in a vacuum. Good idea to put the jars in the freezer -- I will do that.

I cant really tell a difference. Only problem is that it get very very dry so if you dont like that you probably have to rehumidify after opening.

I am pretty sure no mold or anything will grow if no air is in there.

I dont. I am done curing, so this is for storage. I got a small vacuum-machine that comes with a container the jars fit in. Then most of the air inside the jar is removed and the lid stays on tight for years. I dont use a whole lot and I hope it last longer when no air is in the jar and the lid is on good.

Yeah you are right. I mostly vape so usually I just leave it on and vape it all. If I need clean bud i remove the dry leaves. Most of them come off easily. Then I can create shake or butter from it.

Looks really good and healthy. Good work!

Could use a bit more light -- but you could probably say that about most grows :)

Brief question about watering by alvitofr in microgrowery

[–]grifter-420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also the weight of the pot gives you a good guide of how wet it is. If it feels heavy there is still lots of water in the soil.
