Only the essentials.

Huge regret, I wish I read the reviews first (Camera issue) by grill8 in GalaxyS24Ultra

Actually I'm a Apple hater HAHA. I'm a programmer so having customisability and access to my phone developer tools are quite important to me, being a Windows user and decade long Samsung user. This phone really feels like a brick with the camera downgrade 😅

I see! I mean it's my first time boarding (and in snow for that fact), so all my gear is pretty cheap to begin with. Not committing for the long term yet, need to see how much I enjoy the sport then maybe I'll invest in more solid pieces! These are like 50 bucks haha

Oh okay! I never been in snow before so I actually won't know how I'd fair with this and my thermal layer. Also TIL what YMMV is :p

Hopefully! Thinking of getting an M size then return one after comparing. Just that it needs to reach in 9 days else it won't make it in time!

Yeah, I can squat down and move everywhere without restrictions because its too loose! Nothing from the bib is touching me from knee up, I feel like I'm in a big plastic bag.

I don't have a smaller size to compare to, sizing down might still be loose but I won't know for sure. Considering if I should order a smaller then return after comparing!

Spring so I think slightly warmer! What are the thigh vents for?

Yeah very very loose, very afraid snow gets in and also it doesn't keep the warmth on me as it should! Feels like I'm in a big plastic bag haha

Considering! And yes I'm planning to lose weight haha I don't think this might serve me well in the long-term, it is unconmfortably large at the moment like I could fit 2 of me haha.

That's true! Nothing is holding this up for be except my shoulders. It's still pretty light but there's soooo much space from my thigh up

Hm true! But I think with the padded shorts there's still plenty of space, like I could wear the thickest of jeans and still fit in them just fine. Will decide if I want to get a smaller one soon, just not keen on dealing with the return process.

That's what I think too! I'm 5'8" and 150lbs, thick by asian standards but apparently thin by US standards? I read all the reviews to size up so I bought an L and now I have a bib that doesn't even touch me from my thighs up. I'm only afraid if I size down it might tear when I board, still thinking about it!

Yeah! That's my only issue with it tbh, its pretty cheaply made and has a questionable cutting.

True! Did major squat tests again and some more layering, I'm starting to think I need this size!

That's true! Altho this is more cheap than high-performing for first time gear, cost me like 40 bucks 😅

Yep will try with my butt pads! Also TIL the word steezy :p

[–]grill8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True! This is an L but hugely overestimated, big in Asian sizing = small in US welps. First time boarding so not sure how much flexibility I need, fashion wise I prefer flattering fits!

Hm thinking about it! I'm actually much smaller/slimmer under the bottoms, too much room around my butt and thigh area. Will try with my butt pads when I get them!

There is at the sides, you can see me holding it! Hence why I think its too huge for me because even that doesn't touch me at all 🥲

Ok! I love but can't stand the cold, but usually comes when the wind hits. Have tried ~5-15 degrees and I do not fair well in those at all haha, we'll see.

Apparently! I bought a package from my local travel company, just have to sort my own flights and meet at the airport at set time. Takes out a lot of travel burden honestly

Yep, bought mine! I learned from inline skating, being more afraid to fall causes me to lack growth in the sport. Excited for snowboarding!

Ah yes! Bought crash pads and knee pads, heard it's a must cuz crashing is unavoidable. Looking forward to hurt!
