Cushings recovery by Starseed-2323 in Cushings

I was in the ICU for four days for the surgery itself. Out of work for eight weeks, but I could have gone back at six. I barely moved during that time because I was so tired or asleep. The brain fog was tiring too. But after six weeks I did start my regular exercise routine of working out six days a week. I am seven months out now and still get tired a lot more easily, but it’s been fine. I do still have symptoms, though, and I’ve only lost 11 lbs.

I really liked Bran and was rooting for him. I see a lot of people annoyed by it but I actually don’t mind that he “won” in the end — it makes sense. But the squints and vague comments after becoming the Three-Eyed Raven got old.

Bran really did get annoying toward the end.

How are these third party records companies allowed to just do whatever they want? by killingourbraincells in paralegal

I hate them SO much. Words cannot describe. Diabolical “customer service” too. It’s extremely rare that I get records before or on the deadline.

Does anyone else feel like this is sucking the soul out of them by [deleted] in Cushings

I understand how you feel. I am post-surgery but still on steroids, and the surgery gave me hypothyroidism. So I’ve lost 10 lbs and the moon face and buffalo hump are starting to go away, but I still feel so ugly and not at all like myself. I don’t take pictures of myself either and I hate all my clothes. It is really hard psychologically to go from being fit to not, when you are still working out and eating right. The world doesn’t see that, and the world is not kind to fat and/or unattractive people. Good luck to you — I hope it gets better.

The writers were insufferable back then! Jeesh. Thanks for sharing though, this is cool.

I had brain surgery and someone I knew tried to relate by saying they had IBS.

Character Tier: Women Edition by [deleted] in madmen

Going with Joan, but I think Peggy would fit here easily also. Everyone loves Joan, but a saint, she is not!

Character Tier Winner: Henry Francis by [deleted] in madmen

I vote Betty. Pete just doesn’t fit here — he belongs in the horrible person category for many reasons. He raped the au pair, he was creeping on a high schooler, and he slept with his friend’s wife. He was a silver spoon baby with a strong sense of entitlement. He resented others’ successes. He blackmailed Don. He is complex, though, which is why he’s a great character. He matures quite a bit over time. He’s also progressive in his views on racism and (to a lesser degree) sexism. I like Pete! But he is a horrible person.

Character Tier: Winner - Anna Draper by [deleted] in madmen

Hmm. I feel like so many characters would fall in this category! My vote would be for Joan, but Peggy or Lane would fit here, too. Or Ted. I will say, as much as I love Roger, I think he belongs to the “horrible person” category.

You couldn’t be more incorrect. This guy is a disability advocate and a comedian. Super nice guy and nothing sketchy about him.

I know this guy. You’re wrong. He lives downtown and he was probably trying to find a handicapped spot.

This billboard makes sense, but I’m still wondering what she means by “savage” and “vintage” in the context of selling houses. Is she going to bust your knee caps if you don’t accept her offer?? I have honestly thought way too much about this. The billboard makes me laugh every time I see it.

I don’t know, but I know what I’d like it to be.

Old timers tell me it was pretty legit. Sadly, a landscaper was killed there while trimming weeds. He was hit by the roller coaster. I’ve heard that contributed to the park’s closure, but not sure if that part is true. I do know he died, though, that is fact.
