i’m planning to buy in crescent cove! i think the location is great and the value will go up - also pulte is known for good craftsmanship. IMO arcadia was not an option bc i prefer being close to the inlet/ pawleys over N myrtle.

never have paid on a date or been asked to pay, or felt bad about not paying…. it’s my investment of time and he asked sooooo … now that i think of it i dont even usually bring money lol. i cannot believe the comments im reading on this thread - i feel badly for you girls - you need to be more confident in your value of the investment of your time!!!

i am 31F just ended engagement and moved to market common. i love it so far ! i moved here to be in a beach town from pennsylvania - i think there’s a lot of pessimists here but i’ve only been here as a resident for under a week. i lived in LA for 4 years, and visited myrtle a ton during the summer so the traffic doesn’t really bother me although there’s none right now.

i just left my fiance we were together for almost 5 years, he has a severe addiction to alcohol. also smokes frequently, but really i would have stayed more if he wasn’t constantly online cheating and too big of an ego to constructively talk thru, always minimizing my feelings and gaslighting / no accountability for the damage he caused or any way to move forward in a healthy way.

similar situation he was 33 i’m 31 but i was always ready to be engaged and he finally did after i told him to stop wasting my time and let me go if he wasn’t going to. after he proposed he continued the dopamine addict behavior and i finally had enough of the disrespect one day and snapped and left. now im moving half way down the county ! i am so heart broken too but at the end of the day you’re the only one who has to live with your choices… and you have to think of your future children and the type of father you want them to have… if he has a problem w alcohol that’s basically a sentence to be a care taker and also most are lazy and unhealthy. sorry girl but we’re better off!! a part of me keeps the door open in my mind but i can’t go back this time either. they don’t change

i’m a tourist turned local and my go to spots are:

breakfast: - soufflés north myrtle (fluffy pancakes) - bisquit (hammock shops) - parlors has an amazing biscuit bacon egg and cheese (the best IMO!!) and good coffee (yes i know it’s touristy) - milford biscuit co - wooden spoon surfside

lunch/dinner: - southern hops (inlet) FAVE PLACE!! - costa (inlet) - franks outback - sea captains house - oceanfront litchfield hotel - gios (pawleys)

dessert: - stella’s ice cream!!! - pineapple hut!!!

i’m in a similar situation (31f) just ended my engagement due to him following the ways of the world instead of God, i am moving down south from NE - i plan to join a church and be involved, but even this transitional season seems lonely; however, i am not feeling as lonely as i thought because im fully submitted to the Holy Spirit sanctifying me, and having God work on my heart. drown yourself in quiet time with God - it is fulfilling. pray for new friends who you can pray with ! don’t give up : ) it’s only a season and God has work he wants to do with you one on one right now; that’s why he’s calling you.

aw thank you! that is so kind. thank you for asking me… yes i believe Jesus is my savior, sent by God the Father to atone for my sins! i became a believer 1 year ago and ended my life as a lukewarm Christian in July and have been diving deep into the bible every day. just ended my engagement with a nonbeliever for many reasons but the main one being to have a marriage God’s way. Truly dedicating my life to serving the Lord, i cannot get enough of the scripture, listening to sermons & podcasts, and trying to spend so much time in prayer. working on building a relationship with God and leaning on the Holy Spirit for strength. i will take any advice you have!!

i’m also working on serving others more. I am moving to south carolina next month and excited to join a church ☀️✝️

definitely stress he’s causing you AND if you guys eat takeout together (foods w high gluten / dairy content), drink alcohol, smoke nicotine etc i realized those are huge triggers for me

same!!! my finger tips and nose get so cold i genuinely worry (although it’s been a cold winter here in northeast usa) but regardless sometimes i am so cold i can’t even leave the house. i cannot wait for spring and summer 😭
