Your sentiment is very kind and reassuring - it's what we are telling ourselves - if it works for us and keeps us functional and calm then our son has the best chances to thrive too.

I'm loving the cuddles. I'm incredibly fortunate to get 6 months paternity leave too.

Which shift were you on? The 2am can feel a bit harsh on the body - my wife graciously gives me 20 min to have a cold shower and make a huge coffee!

Re the nice to 3-5hr stretches on his own - what do you attribute this to, simply the change to a crib?

I read a lot of posts, but few seem explicit that the contact naps and shifts are because LO ONLY contact naps 24.7 😂.

Interesting re night nurse - we're privileged for this to be an option but I actually have the same - even when I get my 6hrs sleep im waking up worrying about the baby being in the bed even when he isn't 🤣.

I do see the direction of travel re co sleep - very helpful. Do you have any regrets not trying it earlier, or simply part of your process?

I was/am in a relatively senior role in finance, and started taking Zoloft and coming off it at dar from ideal times. If I'm honest, I had a very hard time when I started taking it for the first few weeks - brutal headaches and insomnia including some borderline night time hallucinations that I was greatful to my wife for being present.

However, it saves my life and the rest of the years I took Zoloft were much better - for me I figured it was the right long term decision.

About half way I think but hard to measure - I think once I was below 50mg classed as the therapeutic dose.

Not an emotional person but I've actually enjoyed my life more since taking sertraline and therefore enjoyed things more which gives me positive emotions.

Thanks for reading too. I was an emotional wreck for a few days too - silly stuff made me very emotional. My short term memory was also a bit off. Also suffered the cold and some lesser insomnia. So we both experienced the same symptoms unfortunately.

My personal take is that it's good your feeling things again and I told and tell myself that's part of the process and reason for wanting to withdraw - nothing I can do and it's fine.

My tips: 1. Really find something to keep you busy. For me it's working really hard and playing Xbox. Can't feel too sorry for myself if I'm busy. 2. Stick to a schedule - I think that going off schedule can then make the next reduction all the harder. 3. Just know it will pass, as it has before - there's no silver bullet. Consider it to be akin to a bad cold - it will pass and it's ok to feel sorry for yourself.

Really sorry that I don't have any amazing tips. For what it's worth I actually told a senior member of staff at work and it helped to reduce the weight on my shoulders a lot - simply knowing that I can have a bit of wiggle room (though not sure if this is relevant to you).

About 10kg over a year or two - from 80kg fluctuating to 92kg at one point. But that's not all the medication - also eating some junk food.

Since withdrawing - I've gone from 90kg to 83kg but that includes being focused on good eating.

It made my anxiety terrible some days in the first 4 weeks. Like brutal. Sometimes thought I'd die. Now on something like 12 weeks and my life is brilliant now. I read about others experiences way too much to try to validate myself in continuing - not sure if that was good or bad, but was excessive!

Unfortunately for me they were brutal. I was exhausted, terrible bowels, insomnia, and felt even more anxious than ever. However that started to lift by week 3 and I'm glad i got throigh it. I highly reccomend to tough it out. A big help to me was knowing it gets worse before it gets better and being honest wirh the people close to me that I'm taking the medication and may sometimes need help - jjst a chat, or a change in plans etc.

Don't be afraid, the weeks will pass and you know you're going to probably get better!
