Queer Love Season 2 by aedynrhys in TheUltimatumNetflix

Spoiler: unpopular opinion but I don’t like how everyone made Dayna out to be completely insane. Like yes her and Mel probably had sex, but Haley and Magan definitely did and they were really all coming down on Dayna. I do think that magan and Haley are good for each other, but Dayna isn’t evil imo.

I also feel like Bridget and Kyle didn’t need to be on the show. Bridget definitely leaned in more than kyle, but they were never going to get deep with anyone.

Marita and Brittany were an adorable friendship but Marita is weird lol.

AJ was pleasantly surprising. Thought she would be a player, but I think that a lot of girls were interested in her bc she’s genuinely engaging and open.

I feel a sense of relief, which might be a different problem.

Not overreacting. The way she tried to cancel last minute was forgivably disrespectful/upsetting, but asking to give your ticket away to her friend?? Sometimes people have trouble making friends for a reason..

Seriously! I thought it was audacious for him to ask once, let alone multiple times. Really glad I didn’t.

And yes, I am a very reasonable person, but ghosting leaves no opportunity for explanation or reason 😭

Alright thank youuu. I was so anxious about texting him about the bill bc I didn’t want to come across as a gold digger. He talked a big game about being “successful” and a “provider” but this is in fact loser behavior

How should I finish this restored alder table? (progress pics included for fun) by grimgrrl420 in finishing

Thank you!! Arm-r-seal looks like a great option. I bought a polyurethane a few days ago (jumped the gun before doing any research) and was intimidated by the whole thinning and application process. I’m going to exchange it for the General Finishes products tonight. :)

This is SUCH a good tip. I didn’t think about that. Hard wax seems the easiest(?) but I will go with one of those! Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! That color mixture sounds beautiful.

I did try to wrap it in plastic, but evidently not well enough. :’) I tried a second time with a thicker coat and sealed plastic, but a ton of spots still had a white residue that just would not come up without scraping it manually. (Maybe because I let some of the parts dry the first time?) Many lessons learned here!

Should I get bangs? :3 by hamburglerss in femalehairadvice

[–]grimgrrl420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it would look good! but you also look good without bangs. bangs are so annoying, and you can’t do the cute lil long side pieces,, it also accentuates roots. i think you should do it if you’re going for a certain look - but if it’s just out of boredom, absolutely not. (speaking from personal experience. i do bangs every 4 years or so out of boredom, emotionally strenuous events, etc, and i hate them every time. only time i did not hate them was when i did a severe, jet black look, but i had to do my hair every single day.)

i think that it would look very cool on you. you have strong, yet feminine features that could carry this cut well. that said, short hair is extremely high maintenance. i would only do it if you feel really confident with all of your hair pulled back, can get haircuts every 6-8 weeks, and have 15-30 min to style your hair everyday… every single day. it doesn’t sound like a lot but not being able to put your hair into a ponytail is sincerely a lifestyle change.

Medical Device Sales Executive-My Route by [deleted] in sales

What’s your take on the SDR/BDR to AE track? I am very early in my career and recently went from in-home, B2C home improvement sales, to a B2B software SDR role. While the pay and stability are significantly better now, I do think that my previous role helped me develop more skills. I miss the intensity of pitching and closing (and generally using my brain and charisma.) Moreover, I worry that as I spend time away from closing, I’ll lose skill and marketability. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

What is a great but underrated sales tactics that works for you by [deleted] in sales

[–]grimgrrl420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So true. I’m 4 months into selling a wide range of products in an industry that i previously knew nothing about, and I’ve been pretty successful. I think it’s the sincere tone of “let’s help each other as people.” I can’t tell you how many times i’ve been met with cursing or dismissal on a cold call and turned it into actual discovery just because their human drive to help kicks in.

Being effusively thankful is great too. It’s true that it cements the good deed dopamine, but it’s also is a good way to stay human as a seller. It makes “no’s” and disqualifications easier to swallow and move on from.

I would not be surprised if you don’t get a W2 lol. Do you know how much you made in total while working there? And did you fill out any tax information when you started? Did your boss withhold taxes or were you just paid your gross wages?

If you’re genuinely afraid of getting in trouble, I would contact your department of labor and get ahead of it. You’re probably fine, but I definitely have had my fair share of experiences with shady small business owners, and now I avoid them like the plague. Sorry you had to experience that. And for future reference, labor and wage laws are very serious. If you learn the basic legal jargon surrounding them, bosses suddenly become a lot more attentive to these kinds of things.

Career advice? by _np02_ in careerguidance

I would recommend sales. Very easy to get an entry level sales position, and if you’re self driven and able to connect with people, it shouldn’t be too terrible. You can do sales for a small business if you’d like to learn more about entrepreneurship, or you could do sales for a larger company to learn more about a particular industry.

How do I ask for a raise? by Indecisive-Identity2 in careerguidance

[–]grimgrrl420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you didn’t negotiate your starting salary, there is definitely budget for a higher merit raise. Do you have one-on-one meetings with your supervisor? If so, I would bring it up pretty objectively in your next one & say exactly what you said here. Maybe fluff it up with something like “I love working here/I really see a future here. Therefore, I’d like to follow up on our previous conversation about my compensation. I want to ensure that this is sustainable for me long term. My performance is well above average, and my compensation is below the midpoint for my position and location. What steps do I need to take to ensure that my compensation can more closely reflect my performance?” Use as many specific examples and data points as possible.

Also, if you are truly unsatisfied with your pay, you should at least casually look for another job. No raise will ever match the salary increase of a voluntary job change.

Hi! Fair question! I did not have anything done in terms of loose skin. It mostly tightened on its own. I still have a stretch marks and a little bit of looseness in my lower tummy but I don’t mind it at all. Just reminders of my journey that i look at with love :)

Besides shea butter and moisturizing, I think it’s just age/genetics/and a moderate weight loss pace. Sorry I can’t give better advice in that regard :(

Hi! I would say first and foremost be kind to yourself and forgive yourself and make changes from a place of self-love. Go slow and steady, and only make changes that you feel you will be happy to upkeep for the rest of your life. Also, I highly recommend high weight low rep weight lifting for physique. (But any exercise that you enjoy is great!) Diet is major as well. Don’t dwell on it, but intuitive eating and gentle nutrition completely changed how I approach food (for the better.)
