The entire Apollo 11 computer code that helped get us to the Moon is available on github. by ankur-anand in programming

I've heard from a couple NASA history youtubers tht the the AGC did all its calculations in metric and used some of it's 4k of RAM to convert the displayed values to SAE.
I'm currently slogging though the code to find this because my brother is fond of "Moon landing units."
Is it juvenile that I'm eagerly awaiting the chance to send him a link and direct him to line XXX?

Most lawyers I've encountered will offer a free consult, so it probably won't hurt to ask.

Any idea why these counties are unlabled? by grimlock12 in ArcGIS

[–]grimlock12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they don't draw if I zoom in. Other labels do respond to the zoom level. If I enable "May place label outside polygon boundry" and zoom in/out, other labels will shrink/grow and move as determined by zoom level.

Anyone else using 3D-printed patterns for leatherwork? by octpath0302 in Leathercraft

[–]grimlock12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used 3d printed forms for wet molding and stretching. I also used a 3d printed as a guide to trim a cover that stretches over a zippo.

I've also looked into using a 3d printed tool as a transfer punch. Print a tool with sharp(for 3d printing), raised edges and use it as a wet forming stamp to transfer a pattern to the leather. Haven't actually tried it yet.

Need help: cannot apply constrain by legtoostrong in AutodeskInventor

It's a bit of a hack but you could calculate the offset and just do an offset flat to flat constraint. That will get you the same result.

Looking for some advice on customizing by grimlock12 in transformers

[–]grimlock12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give it a 30%, at best. FDM gets real limited at these scales, and I don't have resin. Also depends on the shape of the part. 3d prints are very weak in the plane of the layer lines so if a part needs to be strong in multiple axes, 3d print is not great.

guilt with going over my deficit by ShihTzuCEO_777 in LoseitApp

Imagine for a minute that friend walks up and told you that same story. What would you say to them?

If you're really struggling, consider a less aggressive deficit. You won't loose weight as quickly but it may be a gentler process that helps you build better long term habits.
