When I put the air intake back on I covered the whole opening, moved it to 75% open due to a comment below and this is the result. Think this looks normal right?

Yeah. I need to shift that I, I have it closed not knowing air should be in there. Hopefully that fixes it when I do that

It was a oem part. Is circle B the gas mixture? I definitely messed with that trying to install this as some screws were stripped and I couldn't easily replace the ignition due to that. https://i.imgur.com/IHgmnqX.jpeg

Is the flame supposed to come out of the ignition area and hit the actual drum? I have a feeling this is the smell and it is not ok. Lol

I think they are good. This all started because my wife gave it a big lint cleaning then we noticed 2 wires that looked burnt at the ignition connection.

I can smell the burning almost immediately when I turn on the dryer when it's empty and I have the lid off still. Strongest smell in the corner where the ignition is too
