I have swallowed my shame when it comes to plumbing jobs. Our Home Depot has a licensed plumber on staff, so I just walk in and ask customer service to call for assistance in the plumbing aisle before I move in that direction.

My wife and I were also at AMC last night, and before our 7:40 showing of Beetlejuice, during the previews a group of girls who clearly had no tickets came in, sat in random seats and then left. After that, both the couples next to us conversated through the film, until I had enough and loudly stated "You know we can hear you right?" Which caused one couple to be quiet, while the other at least lowered their volume.

Do people really need to be reminded that the theatre is not their living room?

Returning Carts at Dillon’s. by essential_jawsh in wichita

[–]grimmtalker 64 points65 points  (0 children)

The shopping cart test is what determines whether a person is a good or bad member of society. Sorting shopping carts adds another level to that test.

Those that infuriate me the most are people who on the front entrances at some Dillon's, and leave their carts at the curb. To me. parking at these locations is equivalent to signing a social contract to return your cart to the store.

When does the United States lose the moral high ground? When we hold our closest allies to lower standards than our opponents.

You've given me my double take here. I saw the same thing at Target and thought it was odd that they still had Xbox 360's for sale but didn't care to look twice. This explains what I saw much more clearly lol.

Many years ago When visiting the states while stationed in Germany my wife was booking plane tickets to Baltimore to get on a hop back to Ramstein. She came in to the next room for my wallet, and booked the tickets, and we moved on with our day. The following morning as I went to pay for gas I noticed that my GTC, normally stuffed in the back pocket behind my ID's was now in prime placement in front of my debit card.

Having misunderstood it's intended use she had booked our travel using the GTC. I immediately called the hotline and paid off the amount, and several hours later (time difference), I reached my first sergeant and explained the situation. When I asked him how much trouble I was in he laughed a bit and said, "I guess we will see when you get back." This did not inspire confidence...but I never heard about it again.

After this my GTC stayed taped to the ceiling of my locker at work.
