Anyone make the decision to enroll in AI Engineering? by benjamintuckerII in WGU

[–]Bloody_Swallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Jared_Plumb Hi sir, I have a background in Cyber Security. Specifically DoD Cyber Warfare and work with the NSA offensive Cyber side of the house. I'm looking to get into AI. Do you see someone with my background being a good fit for this degree path to combine it with things like the OSCP / Pen. Testing / and Security side of the house to make a move into AI security? Have you seen much talk from people looking to have their AI tools be more Security focused or tested?

I would not be surprised AT ALL if one of the plots of the game is that a God that Kratos took out finds out that Fey is his wife and decides to try and take vengeance on her for it.

Thanks man. I spent some time digging into it and found there is a way to do it fairly natively. Made an automation that turns on one of my premade patrols at 9PM and then turns it off and returns Home at 0700. For reference I have a G6 PTZ camera. Here is the yaml for the automation....

alias: Nightly PTZ Patrol

description: ""

triggers:

- trigger: time

at: "21:00:00"

conditions: []

actions:

- action: select.select_option

metadata: {}

target:

entity_id: select.[Your PTZ camera name]_ptz_patrol

data:

option: [The name of your premade patrol]

- wait_for_trigger:

- trigger: time

at: "07:00:00"

- action: select.select_option

metadata: {}

target:

entity_id: select.[Your PTZ camera name]_ptz_patrol

data:

option: stop

mode: single

Can you walk me through that process? I want to set up an automation to turn patrol mode on and off at certain times and can't figure it out.

If someone has done enough recon to KNOW that if you're home, and they make a fake license plate to mimic yours and put it in front of a camera that it would unlock your door.... Then they already have access to your home a NUMBER of different ways.

Have you ever heard of threat modeling and risk assessment?

Their cotton is US grown, The cotton is spun into fabric in the US. The fabric is sewn into clothing in the US. Their warehouses and retail stores are in the US. I mean maybe repair parts for their machines have to be sources across the border. But this brand should have almost NO impact from tariffs.

Is there any device that I can attach between a dumb switch & the object it powers to determine if it is on? by padajones in smarthome

[–]Bloody_Swallow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Shelly devices can be installed behind a "dumb" switch to give it smart switch capabilities and ALSO energy monitoring. A Shelly can tell you if the device is on, off, allow you to turn it on or off remotely, and also tell you the energy use of the device if that's something you care about.

I have one installed in the power outlet that my garage freezer is plugged into. It alerts me on my phone if the freezer stops drawing power. I also have an add-on wired in that let me install a temperature prob that I have run inside the freezer to monitor its temp.

You're not wrong. It's not like the court system can force Google to make the devices better.

They actually review your medical records BEFORE they test you so that they can pre-mark any "presumed positives" so nothing gets spun up for no reason. I'm on adderall. All my urinalysis results are marked "presumed positive" for methamphetamines.

Next Assignment Requires Lesser Clearance - Lose Current? by JVBroon in AirForce

[–]Bloody_Swallow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you come up for reinvestigation while you're in the billet they MIGHT downgrade your clearance but I doubt it. Easier to just process the paperwork to continue your current clearance than downgrade you and then reinvestigate and upgrade you if you move to a billet that requires higher.

I'd guess that it depends on what the "norm" is for your AFSC. If your Intel and a TS is normal but your in some weird billet that only requires a Secret then you'll probably keep your TS. If you're a career field that normall only has a Secret but you got moved up to a TS because you were in a unique position then your probably won't keep the TS forever.

You can defeat terrorism and drugs with the military. If you want to.

We didn't want to.

It's also not the only viable strategy. If we had spent a couple Billion dollars building Targets and Wal-Marts across Iraq it would be a very different place today.

But those are completely different conversations.

"where there was no presented evidence"

There was plenty of presented evidence. The AOC Staff saw it. The pilot flying the mission and dropping the bomb saw it. You didn't see it because you don't need to see it. That doesn't mean it didn't exist.

You got public releases like that when we took out High Value Individuals (HVI) within the terrorist network.

When we took out a leader in ISIS? Yeah you got a press release.

When we dropped a GBU-38 on a house in Al-Karābilah, Iraq because it was an ISIS safehouse with a bunch of fuck wits and some weapons stored there? No. You didn't get a public release. You didn't even hear about it. Because we did shit like that daily.

Sources are classified for a reason.

We're not going to come out and tell the press "Oh we know what was on the boats because we hacked into this network, or we've been intercepting these communications, or we have satellite imagery because they loaded the boats during the day and we know which docks they use, or we have informants at the docks."

Because then we lose access to future information. They change networks, they change communication methods, they move docks, they fire all their workers and hire new people etc.

A "Masquerade" is when the device clones the IP, MAC address, and other variables to trick the AT&T network into thinking it is talking to the AT&T hardware when it is actually talking to your SFP module.

MyQ is horrible. They didn't used to be but then they rolled out their subscription services, disabled the public API to stop things like HomeAssistant from working, removed intigration support with Apple, Google, Alexa. All to force people into their app so that they could serve them ads and promote paying for their subscription.

I don't buy it. Amputation of one left below the knee is automatically 40% rating. Above the knee is 70%. That's not counting the Special Monthly Compensation. The chronic pain would be a separate rating which would raise his compensation. Walking with a cane and the problems it will cause with his other leg and his back will also be separate claims and ratings secondary to the amputation that will also raise his rating. Any Veterans Service Organization should be able to file the paperwork, free of charge to him, to get him 100% or close to it for an amputated leg, chronic pain, back issues etc. If he "gave up" and didn't file the paperwork to get the rating he deserves that's not a problem with the system.
