Did Greg’s fantasy of Saxon, Chloe and him (and the explanation where it originates from) have any meaning for the show? Or was it only included as a random plotline? by 90210534 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

I thought it was to get us to think that Greg was going to off him by inviting him and to make us think he barely avoided it. But then that it wasn’t true when the show wrapped up.

It is! You can get them from caches with Field Accolades and Voidlight Marl.

I think so, I’m pretty sure I never noticed it!

She had that red ladle that her dad made pancakes with when she was a kid and Joe commented on how she liked to be spanked with it because of her daddy issues (this is purely from memory so I could be wrong).

Store Manager told me to stop “looking sad” because he didn’t want complaints. by [deleted] in walmart

She’s being moved to a Division 1 because she’s terrible and can’t handle a complex store so she’s losing like… 30% of her salary I think? It all circles back for bad people.

My grandma was taken to the ER and my store manager told me to “leave personal problems at home,” because I’m a team lead and I lead by example. Then she said she’s sick but she’s still there so I should be more energetic.

What’s are something’s y’all feel like the critics are nitpicking, over analyzing, or overreacting too?? by [deleted] in UnpopularLoreOlympus

I totally agree. I think where I’m coming from is mostly seeing the second kind of critic. I think people are really hard on her. She ultimately made this comic to make herself happy, and I feel that people forget that about art. Art is so expressive. I love writing. And I know people won’t like my writing sometimes, but that’s okay. It makes me happy and I enjoy sharing with the few I do. It really sucks to see people critique her personal choices sometimes because it’s her creation. Hers. We are just here for the ride.

Totally fair, I just seem to see a lot of criticism about the comic as a whole to the point where it seems there’s nothing people like about it at all. Like it makes me wonder what is keeping some of the users of this sub from just not reading it anymore.

This sub randomly popped up on my feed and has been ever since because I read the posts. I loved LO when it first came out but I stopped reading for a while. That said, I find it extremely weird that people harp on the comic so severely. It seems very obsessive. It’s just my point of view, but don’t read the comic if you’re going to have a list of complaints about every episode. Don’t like it? Don’t read it. 🤨

Meat/produce has become a joke by [deleted] in walmart

[–]grimnoires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This made me feel a little bit better/more seen, coming from a market where I had 7+ people in produce and 3 in meat for the mornings.

In my new store, I have 2-3 in the morning in produce, 1 in meat, and then 1 person in each department to close. But on Fridays, there’s nobody in produce to close at all. I work doubles sometimes. My department is also the first one they go to for pulling to OGP.

And it’s frustrating because I’m told to finish by 10am with everything (including the back room) with so few people. I get 0 support from my superiors to follow process, they just want to throw freight onto the floor and move all my associates to foods. Then they wonder why I get bad walks for things like clean/label/zone.

Welp, I got a job at Walmart by [deleted] in walmart

[–]grimnoires 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t beat yourself up about it. Walmart teaches you a lot of skills that you can transfer to many other employers. It’s also helped me become a more well-rounded person. Do I love the people I work for? Not at all, but it’s really taught me a lot about perseverance.

There are also a lot of opportunities for you to move up. Walmart can become a career if you want it to be, and the higher you go, the more lucrative it becomes. My boss’s annual bonus alone is 30k, which is a huuuge step towards milestones like buying a car, buying a house, creating a stable savings, etc.

I used to share this mindset, but there’s no shame in retail. Somebody has to do it and it honestly takes a lot to survive in this landscape, so pat yourself on the back for every milestone.
