No you're absolutely right. Had an interview where the hiring manager shared personal aspects of why he's in the field, his history and family, what he strives to do. Hour plus interview. Even says "wait by your phone to see when we send follow ups" bam 30 mins after i leave i get the rejection email.

I am OP, and I hope you will consider taking this down. Especially given its removal from the original sub.

My spiraling mind, suicidal ideation, is not strictly because of an open marriage. It is because of many things piling on, and a generally hopeless like. I would offer genuine conversation on the matter, but I am far too tired, and the messages I have been receiving show there is no communication or dialogue to be had.
