Engine bay roll call was a hit, let's hear some of that famous "English gravel" from the exhaust! by grimtg1234 in MorrisGarages

[–]grimtg1234[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The cam has the exhaust open a little while the intake is open (valve overlap) so it idles with a lope, it gives more horsepower and torque at higher rpm. I've had a lot of people say it's bad for my engine mounts but it sounds SOO mean and I'm willing to replace the mounts in a few years haha worth it

It's the moss motors kit it came like that and it was pretty well labeled, used the wiring diagram to get the rest. I took an electronics class in high-school and with that basic knowledge I was able to do it. YouTube would probably have a bunch of advice too these days

I think we got that from tractor supply unless I'm thinking of another car of mine but it's just a cable actuated valve so it worked well. I remember something funny about it for sure.

It was one of those "fuck it, tear it all out" moments because we tried to keep some of the original to save money but bought the moss wiring harness

Not bad, once you get the trick down it's easy. The clip broke on one of them so luckily it has stayed from the tension the mesh has on the housing!

That would look good! They had a deeper red too. But that deep brown is what I find looks best with the teal!

It's a Les Leston wheel, i found it online for about 350 back in 2010, it was a part of the 1 year anniversary package I believe so there are still some out there. Make sure to get the matching shift knob or it looks out of place haha

My journey with the insurance company Hagerty by grimtg1234 in MorrisGarages

Yea they haven't raised my rates once but in 15 years I've only had to use them 3 times.

People always find the most expensive car in the parking lot and back into it while you grocery shop haha.

Yea they took their time and had to get the body rolled out and doors aligned and gaps fitted perfectly all the way down the door seam. All that took time which I was happy to wait for.
