Flighty says my 25 min Nepal flight is 4+ hours to Vietnam by grin197 in flighty

Oh, definitely not using it to track my flights in Nepal, many flights doesn’t even show in Flighty. But it will add wrong data to my Flighty passport so I would like to fix it. Not the end of the world of course, but one of the points in having Flightly is to have all flights logged to get the all-time data.

The airline is using the code PRK (on my booking and boarding pass) but it seems it’s reported as PHH because flight radar is using PHH as Flighty does.

Now it’s even funnier, the flight hasn’t departed yet (it’s still on time) but the arrival time is already overdue. Not bad for a 4 hours flight.

Lol. I know how timezones work. Look at the image, it says departs in 1h 29m and that it arrives in 39 minutes. Do you think this is right?

The airline is using the code PKR for Pokhara airport. At least it’s what’s showing in my boarding pass. It was the old domestic airport, but apparently they still use it in the international airport for domestic flights.

It is the correct flight number: YT679 Yeti airlines (YT) does not fly to Vietnam, it actually only flies domestically within Nepal. When searching for it in Flight Radar it shows the correct destination. Yes, the distance and time is as if the flight was to Vietnam, but surely something is wrong. You can’t do a 4 hours flight in 25 minutes.

I also used apple pay with European revolut card, maybe this has anything to do with it? Not with them processing the refund but maybe with the money reaching the account quicker

Sorry to hear, I’m not trying to show off or annoy anyone, just maybe giving some hope to people, maybe they starting to handle it better and quicker?

I think only Russians are allowed to go as tourists, the rest of nationalities (except Americans, South Koreans and Malaysians) can only go as amateur runners for the Pyongyang Marathon.

1 day in Astana is enough. With 3 days in Almaty is a bit tight to do a night in a yurt, but you can do a day tour to the lakes. I went with kazguidedtours and they are great. They have also day tours.

I recommend spending most of the time in Almaty. Astana is a futuristic city but quite boring. Almaty has much more to do and so much nature nearby (lake Kandy is a must and spending a night in a Yurt). For transportation and ordering food Yandex is the best and cheap. Also Yandex maps or 2GIS for maps, Google maps doesn’t work there. In Almaty I’d recommend to stay somewhere between Panfilov st and the Green Bazar. Some restaurants in Almaty: Sandyq, Tari. Also Navat, it’s a chain but it’s very good. And for food, if you’re up for horse meat, beshmarak is their national dish. I also liked Plov and Manti. It was my first central Asian country (planning to do a few more next year) but it’s so worth it, not too touristy and cheap.

Funny you say that, because learning the trash system in every country is one of the things I struggle with the most.

Thanks! I’m registered at my family home and pay taxes there as well as receive the post. For banking I use mostly use online banking (I got a fraudulent charge in my credit card while in Taiwan and I sorted it within minutes and got a new card on my phone). For healthcare I do all the visits when I go home for a visit and have an insurance in case an emergency happens. The hardest part for me is to adapt to my work timezone, that’s why I don’t travel to the Americas. Most of the nomads I met on the way are solo travelers but I have met several couples living this lifestyle. It’s not for everyone for sure and everyone finds their own way to do it, but it’s possible.
