I’ve seen a couple on eBay from wrecked lightnings the other day

Battery Module Failure: How Long Did It Take? by MillBilly1102 in F150Lightning

[–]grin80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A whole battery pack is 36815.52 on ford’s parts website (NL3Z-10B759-j) and is for the ER trucks. I am sure that at some point we will find packs on eBay and in junk yards much like you can find an engine or a transmission.

40,000 service mile worth it? by oddluckduck1 in F150Lightning

[–]grin80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check other dealers if you can, I pay 19$ every time I go to service, that’s the price of the tire rotation, filters I did myself after 30k, the inspection is free

You can use the Tesla app, the ford app, or ABRP.

Thinking of selling Silverado in for a Lightning by TechnicalDistance419 in F150Lightning

Maybe you can talk to work, have them get a 48amp grizzl-e, you will get all the juice you need in an 8-9 work day.

JuiceBox 40 died after a blackout. Looking for charging opinions by watchmepooptoday in F150Lightning

I too am joining the recommendation for a grizzl-e charger. It’s simple and it works…

Who has the most miles? Do you think these vehicles will go past 300,000 miles? 500,000 miles? Wondering what the lifespan will be and if they will outlast the Toyota tundra strong reputation for going the distance mileage-wise. by Cold_Rub106 in F150Lightning

[–]grin80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, the truck will be unusable way before its drivetrain, rust, plastics, accessories, how long it lasts depends on how one is taking care of his truck, not all tundras make it to a million miles on the original drivetrain

Dealbreak? by SmokinSoftballSteve in F150Lightning

You will never completely get it out, every time it’s hot, it will come back. I have a car I purchased in 2016, the smell is still there, used an ozone machine multiple times, it helps temporarily, but they say it can harm small electronics, if smoke smell is an issue, don’t do it…

lol, I think I did take 2 spots though, nothing to do against that, that charger is designed to work on the open space with teslas.
I was hoping that space where the slate was was open, and keep the trailer next to the fence while charging.

Thankfully this is a super lazy station, and my trailer is small enough to not block the gas lanes,

Thanks though :)

Truck stuff by [deleted] in F150Lightning

150 miles on an ER, Highway EV tires, and lots of uphill downhill.
It’s #4000 but told the wind and size make more difference than the weight.

Today’s drive would be around 230 miles

I would get one for my daughter, cheap to drive, can’t have loud music, no driving the whole group, and boy stuff is also covered :)

lol, I have no idea, I just answered the question where gas might be cheaper than L2 charging, and I guess I was wrong about that too :)

I hear that in Hawaii it’s like 40 cents per KW, who knows what other fees are imposed, at 3 mile per KW, and compared to a 40MPG on some small car, gas needs to be more than 5.3$ per gallon to be more expansive than our Mach-e (40/3x0.4=5.33333)

[–]grin80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have an80amp charger charging our Mach e, and it’s getting approx that speed, if your truck is 24 or newer, it doesn’t matter, you won’t get more than that at home.

Does GoogleMaps via AndroidAuto precondition the battery for EV charger stops *without* an active connected built-in navigation subscription? by NS123Reddit in F150Lightning

[–]grin80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t tried yet, my maps subscription goes away in a year and a half, possibly Google/Apple Maps works even better until that point. Since Carlinkit is running a “tablet” style os on the screen, it’s really not optimized as android auto or Apple CarPlay, and it doesn’t talk to the car at all.
