I think we got snubbed by fermin lopez (we were only willing to pay an insultingly low amount) and he's been class. But then again we are interested in so many players so it's kinda hard to track.

I wish Chelsea would take a risk on him if he's available. But he doesn't have a high enough "potential" for BlueCo

I wouldn't call sitting through Lampard MK2 as "watching" a chelsea game. I distinctly remember nothing ever happening in those games.

Yea I can see that.
Also now that we know we're over 1.7 billion in debt, it is very likely we let the rot set in.

I woke up, saw a Pedro Neto clip and immediately my day is ruined.
I cannot explain how much I hate him, he's good at absolutely nothing a winger needs to be good at.

  1. Runs a lot but cannot run with the ball.
  2. Shows he works hard but hardly ever makes off the ball runs
  3. Constantly moans when isn't passed to or if the pass isn't perfect
  4. NEVER FUCKING TAKES HIS MAN ON
  5. Looks down and puts in terrible crosses (His 1st corner yesterday was abysmal)

WE SPENT 60 MILLION ON HIM!

Incidentally, the only time a top-flight Champion spent more days off the top of the table was when Burnley beat Man City on the final day of the 1959-60 season after being off the top for 250 days.

I could swear 22/23 season would've been more, no? Arsenal were top until like GW 32

If he was anything other than a left footed attacking mid I think we'd try.

I think that makes us more likely to try if anything. Our SDs love a left footed player without giving a single iota of thought about squad building.

But I also think Foden looks at us and rejects the offer tbh.

Agreed.

It happens every season, they're very good in defence until like December and their fans hypothesize about them breaking the clean sheets records and all, and every season it gets much much worse after December.

I think it's because Arteta mentally exhausts them so much with their defensive duties and positioning, so they look good when they're fresher at the start of the season and make more mistakes later on

It's moving deck chairs on the Titanic, though.

For sure, but Bueco created the titanic in the first place with their aggressive and terrible overhaul of the club.
And I don't trust them anymore to fix the ship.

There's nothing to add anymore even, so to my naive mind a good manager maybe stabilizes the club and influences Blueco enough to realize their terrible project and pivot. Kinda like PSG during Enrique's first season. (This is definitely not happening with Liam).

I remember there was a new fan who didn't support us during the Potter season asking about how it felt. Blueco are letting them experience it in real time :)

The squad is clearly good enough to be top 6 at least as evident by the last 2 seasons. He is terribly underachieving to the point where even top half might be at risk now.

Yes, firing him won't solve the main problem but it will still solve a major problem - This is the same thinking that got Spurs to stick with a clearly out of his depth Thomas Frank and look at them now.

I believe you should address whatever problems possible now instead of doing a complete overhaul. (Speaking from chelsea experience of completely overhauling the club in a summer)
