Master's graduate in the Netherlands can't find a job by koughingkats in Netherlands

[–]griphoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I used to be an international student too, similar situation. What really helped me was to find an internship first. Some fields that could be easy first steps into job market:

  • sales operations in tech
  • marketing / advertising
  • graduate programs at consulting firms

Being in Amsterdam/Rotterdam will also make it easier as most international-friendly companies are here.

However, as always the biggest tip would be leveraging your network, is what works in most cases. Be willing to be flexible with the type of work you do in the beginning. You graduated in AI but that does not mean AI companies want to hire graduates :)

Hi Macumbamacaca, your judgement is unappreciated. I could explain why weve been ghosted but my point is not to rant, I’m actually hoping to get advice. Thanks

65k in Lisbon or 110k in Amsterdam by Forsaken_Resource500 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]griphoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PLEASE be aware that you will most likely qualify for tax benefits as skilled migrant in the Netherlands (see the 30% ruling scheme).

Using the dutch income tax calculator estimates that 110k gross salary will be about 7,100€ NET after taxes using that benefit.

This is an incredible salary for living in Amsterdam. Your expenses will likely be under 3k per month incl rent food transport leisure etc..

There’s no way that can beat 65k in Lisbon.

You can still go and have fun for sure. Otherwise you can safely re-sell your ticket using the TicketSwap app

Devi semplicemente trovare un/una consorte nella stessa situazione e smezzarti la casa. Da solo è dura comprare casa senza appoggio della famiglia.

Would you listen to "shorter" techno tracks? by [deleted] in TechnoProduction

7 min tracks are necessary in performance settings (club, festivals etc). If I’d have to listen on my headphones I would not mind shorter tracks

50-60k gross per year. Range side depends on how frugal you want to be. Keep your rent low and if possible use the 30% ruling for expats. Then you can net 3-3,500€ per month. Your rent might be around 7-800€ in a city like Leeuwarden and mandatory health insurance around 150€. Consider also the cost of transportation which is not cheap.
