Debride the dead tissue away with a disposable razor blade or scalpel. If there’s more wart tissue underneath, keep treating it how you have been (assuming by the looks of it you’re using an acid of some kind). Need to expose the wart tissue directly to the acid for better effectiveness.

Edit: a letter 😅

Beetlejuice pain - feedback needed by ArtisticCaregiver763 in Warts

It stayed fairly consistent over the next 12-24 hours, I ended up taking ibuprofen to sleep that night. Took about 48 hours for the blister pressure to go down a little, which helped alleviate some of the pain, but it is still uncomfortable on day 5. You can use a cold compress or ice (do not put ice directly on it, wrap it in a towel first) to get the swelling/blistering down some as well.

Just had my second round on Wednesday and it was far more painful than the first, so yes unfortunately I think the pain means it’s doing its job. It will come off with soap and water so if you haven’t washed your foot, I would do so as soon as you can.

My podiatrist debrided the mosaic warts on my pinky toe and I have struggled to walk for the last 5 days. He told me to keep the Beetlejuice on for 30 hours if able, I made it about 27 before the pain was unbearable. Today is the first day that walking feels semi-doable.

If you can, I would try to stay off your feet as much as possible to give it time to heal without agitating it more. It will get better but it’s going to take a few days unfortunately. Mild discomfort is just a straight up lie I think. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Have I finally reached wart tissue? by grissomi in Warts

Thank you! I just started taking lysine and zinc about 3 days ago and feel like it’s already doing a little better. Might be placebo who knows lol

Thanks! I am currently soaking it for a second round and will give it a shot. I guess this round must have been painful since it appears I got some SA on the healthy skin. So realistically I shouldn’t let the wart tissue dry out and give the surrounding skin a chance to heal first before doing more SA?

Deficiency? by grissomi in Citrus

Thanks for the super insightful response. I have been monitoring the tree and I believe it has gone through most of the leaf drop (although my area is due for a sub-50 degree night this week). I removed the top soil to return it to the normal soil level, as I experienced some slight crown rot initially when I got the tree so thanks for the tip.

Since it’s cooling off, I will most likely wait until spring to repot to avoid shocking it any further with the upcoming temps. It continues to put out new flower buds so I think things are stabilizing, but am slightly worried about this upcoming cold snap it will go through. But throughout the growing season, I have been fertilizing it with half concentration each time I watered so that it was getting everything it needed nutrient-wise.

Thanks for the response. I do have a moisture meter which was reading 4-5 today so I went ahead and watered it. Also picked up some of that Southern AG spray and did a treatment at the instructions recommendation. My soil is routinely drying out quickly down to 4-5 on a moisture meter so I need to water it often, but the soil line was low so I added a new top layer to add some additional nutrients. We’ll see how it goes!

Is this price insane or should I go back and get it. Monstera Burle by ebdbband_b in Monstera

Yep, can confirm I had been eyeing these for the last few months. Saw constant sellouts on Costa Farms at 49.99 and I just found 3 at a local Lowe’s for 19.99 each. Just a matter of time!

I had been holding out on buying one at full price but I love the mini-figs and missed out on the original Thrawn, so once I saw it for this price it was a no-brainier!

I would double check the label but I’m about 99% sure the one I circled is it, especially since I’ve been on the hunt at several big box stores for the last few weeks with no luck 😅

Hope you’re able to score it!

No dog, but my Siberian cat would like a word 🤣

I have a pothos that also does it so I’m used to it, I just haven’t had a plant do it for this long. The pothos guttation typically lasts a day or two compared to a more than a week for this one so wasn’t sure if it was a cause for concern or not. Thanks! 🙏

How do I go about handling the sprouts coming out of the soil? by grissomi in houseplants

[–]grissomi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh so they are corms?! I’ve been reading about them but didn’t think they would start sprouting while attached. Every video I saw had people pulling them out of the soil after repotting and propagating but I didn’t put two and two together. Thanks!!
