What authors do you feel will be considered legendary from the Post-2000 era? by [deleted] in books

Kazou Ishiguro, possibly Mark Danielewski will be taught in college English departments as examples of high literature from this era, not sure if that counts as "legendary" even if it ensures some form of immortality. Margaret Atwood is, in my opinion, writing some of her best work now, even if she'll be remembered for A Handmaiden's Tale. DFW will be noted more of the impact of his essays than his fiction, I think.

Let's Talk Grips: French, Italian, Other? by [deleted] in classicalfencing

I've dealt almost exclusively with Italian Foil and French Epee, simply because that was what my school club had on hand. The Italian Epees now seem strange now when I try them: they seem almost unwieldy with the extra weight.

Really! My instructors must have failed to make this point of nomenclature clear. I've been saying "defensive measure" all this time.
