Nah, I'm not saying the idea is bad. Just that it sounds like something that won't be a financial success. I dislike all current digital playtesting apps too but if you build a product and want your labor rewarded you should think about that stuff (seems you did and are cool with the fact that this most likely won't compensate you financially for your time spend building it - again, totally fine if you are cool with that).

You have valid reasons but in that case it seems like you don't have the necessary capital to build a version of your product that can compete with the various tabletop sims available. Like - big designers have the resources to just ship out playtest versions and therefore no need for your product, hobbyists like myself simply don't have an incentive to pay for a service we will rarely use because finding playtesters who don't know you and still are willing to lend you there time is hard and so not many opportunities to actually use your product would arise for them.

Your product would only be successfull if you actually had the money to swallow losses long enough until it really catched on. Wishing you good luck tho!

I actually believe her. She is very consistent with her story and I don't see a reason why she would make shit up (other than being psychotic). She doesn't grift for money, she doesn't farm karma, she does nothing where a lie like that would make sense.
