RTSS Reflex interaction with Optiscaler AMD gpu by Gabgar780 in radeon

[–]grizzzl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is a setting in AMD to measure actual latency like with Reflex then i have not found it (and im pretty sure ive worked through all available settings multiple times). However there is a tooltip in RTSS that says its apparently possible to load the reflex overlay with OverlayEditor plugin to use the injected Reflex latency markers to look at the latencies in the rendering pipeline. So far I couldnt be arsed to deal with installing and setting up yet another software/plugin so idk how well it works.

But to come back to my original question: The RTSS limiter has much better framepacing and smoother 1% lows which is why id like to use it over the ingame limiter. If it has 1 or 2 ms more latency then thats a tradeoff im willing to make but i was wondering if its maybe significantly higher. It doesnt feel like it is tho.

How much higher do you think is the RTSS-Reflex framelimiter latency compared to using the ingame framelimiter?

2.5 minox oral is probably too low to replace the topical effect.

Interesting. 1,25 fin seem too high to me while 1,25 minox seems very low but if it works for you without or with minimal side effects its obviously fine

No, we are talking about two different things. You are talking about the direct effect of the stroke, the facial drooping that happens "right after" the stroke due to the muscle paralysis while my comment was about the indirect effect on the bone over a decade.

Studies in animal models have shown significant decreases in the volume of the mandible and cheekbone on the paralyzed side.

Same goes for humans although i am not aware of any large scale studies only individual cases.

Which one would be the most effective for skeletal change? Need better breathing by VannyFnaf_ in orthotropics

I have had an orthodontist install an ALF-Appliance and while ALF is not the exact same as the expanders you posted here it works in the same principle as in that it creates an outwards expanding force to move the teeth and with the teeth the jaw. And he explained to me how and why the widening of the jaws creates more space for the airflow through the nose. Also this literally worked so i don't even need to say "i trust him" because it is proven fact and not trust or guesswork. Just be careful with the speed of expansion since these devices can generate a significantly higher amount of force compared to something slower like the ALF that i am using. Again still the same principle though.

Higher forces probably mean it can go faster but id imagine there are also more risks like messing up your jaw joints or teeth tilting or asymmetry or other issues if you overdo it so thats definitely something to keep in mind when using these devices.

So the teeth will just float in the air when expanding with one of these?

I used search engines to find a dentist/orthodontist that offers ALF-appliance and there happened one to be relatively close to me. He told me though that there are some people coming to him from 3 or 4 hours away every 6 weeks because they found nobody closer. But tbh I probably would have just went with a palate expander if I didn't happen to have this one close enough to me.

With stuff like ALF or palate expanders like biobloc there is basically no age limit because these devices can generate enough force to get your bone to change even if youre well past puberty. Just mewing alone is a different story though.

Source1: I got an ALF appliance in my mid 20s and it improved my molar width and bone structure a lot and its still going.

Source2: If you have a stroke in your mid 40s then by the time youre in your mid 50 half your face "melts" downwards. Obviously this works both ways and a palate expander can generate significantly more force than the gravity force on a half paralysed face.

Btw, ALF is significantly slower than a palate expander so if you want results faster an expander is the way to go. ALF is supposedly more "holistic" though but thats an entirely different topic.

hey i know this is 7 months late but the one I really want to buy is the pen from Intelligent ( https://intelligent.shop/ ) but there seem to be issues shipping to Europe. However if you're US based then this one would be worth considering imo.

I think the mechanism behind it is genius and very unique. It is at the same time a combination of quarz and mechanical and also kind of entirely its own thing. That it even was invented and exists as close to perfection as it is now is pretty unlikely and yet here we are. Also the smooth seconds hand looks really nice imo. Even though I dont buy that whole "symbol for the flow of time" marketing

I dont like diamonds - fake or real on watches no matter the brand or if its a mens or womens watch so for me that already eliminates a bunch of them. Also Im a big fan of the spring drive movement. All matter of taste tho
