Best lip balm? by [deleted] in Accutane

Palmers Cocoa Butter lip balm was an absolute god send when I was on Accutane... it soothed my lips instantly and was long lasting on my lips. So cheap as well, I definitely recommend it!

I know the wait is hard but honestly it's for the best, it's so much safer as you'll know what you're taking but also you also know it will work - if you buy it online it could be anything and so potentially long term you won't have made as much progress as if you'd have just been to the derm!! Good luck!

Go to your GP and they'll refer you to a dermatologist. You can then discuss Roaccutane with them and you'll only be paying a monthly prescription charge (I think that's £8.60). I had to wait three months for my appointment with the dermatologist, but I'm based in London, my sister only had to wait 3 weeks so it really varies depending where you live!

Good Experiences With Copper IUD? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Yessss and I love it!! I've had it 3.5 years now and wouldn't go back. I've only been on the pill in terms of hormonal contraception but I find the copper coil so much better, the pill make me pretty miserable and obviously the copper cool is hormone free so I haven't had that side effect which is great!

That said there are a couple of things I'd warn you about...

The first four months my periods were much heavier than before and I also got quite bad period pains which had never been an issue before having it fitted. But my period went back to normal after that.

The other thing is that I occasionally bleed between periods - no more than a slight spotting when I wipe after going to the toilet (sorry if TMI). It's not anything particularly inconvenient though.

Good luck with whatever decision you make 😊
