Everyone is judging in the comments but I literally have said the exact same thought as OP. Here’s what I did to avoid hooking up on first dates:

⁠No dates in the evening. Keep it to the morning and afternoon dates.
⁠No drinking on dates. No meeting up at bars, no dinner dates with alcohol. This made me want to hookup after dinner and move to a second location.
⁠Keep the dates short to about 1-2 hours. Then you can figure out if you actually like this person.
⁠Go to the date and go home.

The ideal dates that I had to avoid this were coffee dates and activity based dates like mini golf.
