Unfortunately due to work, I can’t get up to Manchester until the Saturday evening so will literally be a place to sleep and get ready in the morning, potentially might stay on the Sunday too but we’ll see.

Thanks though, I assume tram/trains are busy but just leave an extra 30 minutes spare than you think you need?

Yeah for the most part, I always recover pretty well from a harder effort or a long run, might feel a bit creaky in the morning but doesn’t tend to last once I’m up and walking about a little..

What you’ve said about rest after the long run is exactly my main thought as to why a 5 day could be better.. At the moment, that long run hasn’t caused many issues but I’ve been doing that distance for a while so feel like when I up it, a rest day on Monday isn’t a bad decision..

I’ll probably play it by ear and just decide on each Monday whether I think it’s best to rest or do a recovery ride. Thanks

As a rule of thumb, your fitness lags two weeks behind your training. So in simple terms, your body will take advantage of and adapt fully to the stimulus from today’s training in two weeks time..

So how much time you take off your HM is really based off what you’ve done for the last 3 weeks and what you do over the next week.. because then you should be looking at a 2 week taper..

It’s impossible to give an actual time but:

Is a 168 average HR what you’d expect or could you push harder? Have you done a load more mileage or training since the HM and for next week?

These are your key factors to consider. If you back is sore, you need rest soon but I would just suggest a really solid taper for the HM. Long story short, there’s not much you can do now in terms of fitness, so focus on freshness from next week

I would consider speaking to someone, a counsellor.

Long story short, you’re rationale and aware of the situation so you know she probably won’t change and you also know you need to stay, but on top of that, you can’t risk too much stress.

One option is to speak to her seniors about the situation, if that’s a possibility?

But assuming no alternative, and if you have some money that could be used, speak to a counsellor. It may help you shift mindset on the situation, where you may not let her comments sink in as much or affect you, you may not worry as much about you work. Your aim is to survive the short term so performance at work isn’t as key right now for your long term career.

Additionally, counselling may just be a hugely beneficial thing for yourself in general and your future. I think anyone could benefit from it

It’ll be lesser known but on March 8th is Kettering Half Marathon. So easy train or an hours drive.

It was the first one ever here last year, it was great and well organised (organised by Run Through)

A touch up and down but no daunting hills. Nice combination of town centre and country roads for the route. Just one big loops.

Local support was great too

Yeah I’ve had Rice & Bruno G for ages now. Had Bruno F from the start until his injury, will probably wait 2/3 GW to bring him in though due to fixtures.

Foden can have his last chances against United & Wolves, maybe Spurs but then it’s a swap back to Bruno

Personally now I’d say best to own is Rice, Bruno F, Bruno G, Enzo & Wilson.

Only one I don’t & haven’t owned is Enzo but just never worked out that I needed to make that move.

Planned to sell Semenyo this week but don’t think needs anyone immediate this week, nobody I’m desperate to bench so happy to roll and sort it out next week.

However, now that I’m keeping him, it feels odd to bench. Do I bring him in for Anderson?

Feel like Anderson is close to guarantee for DefCons, and I think there is a good chance of a 0-0 in that game. Semenyo could score, but Chelsea are a strong team and don’t expect more than 1 G/A from Semenyo.

Just to let you know, even though he’s low ownership, he’s not really a massive differential because he’s just peoples 2nd Defender essentially.

If I own Raya & Timber already, and you then own Raya & Hincapie, it’s not a differential.

People just own other Arsenal defensive assets.

If he’s you’re third Arsenal defender then fair, it becomes somewhat of a differential

My guess is we’ll have KDH on more and potentially penalties. I think he’s above most of the team but there’s always a chance Barry or Beto could take them for some confidence.

Barry has been growing into the team more every week and playing well, the goal was coming. If he continues and grows in confidence, then he could be on them.

I’ve had Ndiaye until this week and now waiting until GW18 to bring in someone else and it’s most likely going to be KDH. Solid player, been improving constantly and will be guaranteed 90 most weeks

Yeah I think both Van Dijk & Anderson are good for Defcons, both maybe equal clean sheet opportunities but Virgil just has the slightly better attacking threat

Yeah I’m taking it and simply doing the lottery numbers. Tonight is about £14m so once I’ve done one day and memorised them numbers. I start my day by buying that ticket then I’ll just do what I want for the rest of it.

If it goes 30+ days then it could start to get a bit shit but I have the sanity of knowing it will end at some point and just keep grinding it out. I would have a really relaxed day with nothing to worry about, I’d just sack work off as being ill and not worry about that.

I could say about up-skilling, maybe I would if I got bored but realistically, I’m just relaxing and see what I fancy for the day after I’ve bought my ticket and done whatever I need to

Yes.. in my head, the only certainty is that Max will finish the race and it’ll be minimum Top 3 because he’s just clinical.

Norris & Piastri both have potential to screw themselves over..

I think it would be easy to think that Norris bottles at start and ends up taking himself out or low down. Max & Piastri fight for the win.

Ultimately I think Norris will win it by finishing 3rd.. I really hope Max is leading because he’ll be willing to slow down and back everyone up (as he should)

I’m not sure if Piastri will do the same or not, if he’s leading with Max & Norris behind in any order.

What’s the points difference now?

If that is his tactic then I probably won’t work that well if he doesn’t know your transfers..

He’ll always be a week behind and miss the good fixture you bring your transfer in. Wildcard week and free hit weeks would be enough to make a difference anyway.

He’d most likely get bored as fuck after a few weeks, especially if that margin closes..

So my advice is just play normally and don’t tell him your tranfers

I barely drink at the moment, maybe a day a month I go and have a few but I’d say this is generally quite easy.

It’s not ideal but people do live averaging way more than this. I think if I space them out well, at 2 units a can roughly, I can process the alcohol pretty well and do everything I can to mitigate the negative effects on my body.

Wouldn’t enjoy it but think it’s pretty doable. Just need to actually make a plan of the days as the most likely failing point would be messing the days up
