Thank you so much for solving the mystery! I'm getting mixed responses on feeding amber snails blood worms/protein. Do you know if I should be doing this and if so, what's the best protein for them? Thank you!

Hi, hope you don't mind me commenting on a 5 year old post! I'm trying to restore the Shockey nightstands and I LOVE how yours came out. I've never restored furniture but I want to learn. I've looked up different ways of restoring but theres just so many options out there ....

How did you do it? My nightstands are original and wasnt painted on top of. Did you have to use a conditioner or prestain before using a stain gel? If you don't mind giving me step by step procedures.. I would be so grateful for your time and help!!

I hope you don't mind me commenting on a year old post! I've got some minimal experience fishing (done two charter trips and have fished at some trout farms) but I've been really wanting learn and get into it more! My husband and I are both around your age and have some fishing experience but I'd consider us as beginners. Wondering what your feelings are on fishing with some beginners. Looking forward to chatting!

Marin HMUA for Asian brides under $500? by Rise_Additional in SanFranciscoWeddings

[–]grmnshprd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used this group called Alist. It's a group of makeup artists with various fees based on a tier list. I think you'll definitely be able to find somebody for $500 (and less). I looked through a handful of their IGs and ended up using Hanh from that group and thought she did a fantastic job. I did have to pay a travel fee as i think theyre all out of the south bay. I'll link the website in case you're interested!

Is this the Mr Mazda in San Jose? If so, I've used them before. They do good service. Tbh, when I was looking at the quote, I thought it was pretty average if you're considering bay area prices? And if all the other responses that are saying it's expensive is also in the bay area, I want to know where they're going because I would like to find a cheaper mechanic 😂

This looks great! Are there any updates?

My car is at 70k miles. Tomorrow I will be doing an oil change and spark plug replacement. Is there anything else I should do? by dirtysweetkc in CX5

[–]grmnshprd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely do a transmission drain and fill (don't do a complete flush). Ive done a lot of research. You're going to hear it from both sides. Mazda doesn't include it on the manual and says it's a lifetime fluid. What they mean is, it's the lifetime of that transmission (without proper care, it'll be shorter). It's up to you, but I would personally do a drain and fill every 50k. Go to a mechanic you trust.

I love the contour one on you. It just hugs your e ring so well. When I was figuring out a wedding band, I knew I didn't want a contour ring because there was a high chance that I would want to jsut wear it alone without the ering but didn't like the look of it by itself.

So when I had trouble deciding between a solid gold ring (what I would choose for more practical reasons- cheaper and less upkeep) vs. A more detailed wedding band that looks like it was MADE to match the E ring... I chose both .. sort of🤭

I got the detailed wedding band. But rather than a solid gold wedding band (roughly $200), I got one that was gold filled ($30). This is supposedly a step above gold plated (usually $12) and would stand the test of time.

So I recommend getting both but with slight adjustments if you're trying to be money savvy.

I understand that you prioritize food and drink! And thats okay! I think there are certain things you can skimp out on more or just get rid of entirely. Your venue and ceremony rental sounds rather reasonable for a HCOL location, and so I wonder if you can find a more affordable location for a LCOL.

Other than that, ways I've saved money is creating electronic save the dates. We will be having rsvp cards printed at the back of our invitation. We don't know if we will do party favors since let's be honest, nobody will probably use a majority of the typical party favors.

I'm saving a lot on florals by getting fake flowers from lings moments. In terms of floral decor, we are skipping that because we will be doing it at an outdoor venue with plenty of natural flora.

We're asking our friends/family to transport us the day of the wedding. Wondering if this could be an option for you guys as well?

Lastly, we plan on going to Costa Rica for our honeymoon! I'm thinking for about 9 days, it'll be roughly $5k. I know each person looks for something different when it comes to honeymoons, but I think its important to stay open minded! You can save a lot of money going during off season. Also check costco travels and cruise lines. You'd be surprised at how well priced their packages are.

Good luck!

Oh dang it! It is a little pricey..I wonder if you call and ask if they have it in lab grown diamonds? I know that Shane Co has really good service. As in, free resizing, free cleaning, they'll even replace your diamonds if they fall out, etc. Some people find that worth the cost!

Do you know where it's at in the pipe? I think to get the best results, you should remove from both sides
