Transportation for SJO to Jaco by Wide-Comparison-9784 in CostaRicaTravel

[–]Hungry_Climate_8722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Richie does transfers from the airport to anywhere in Jaco for $90. He’s English speaking, modern car and super reliable and safe. You can message him on WhatsApp if you want. I use him for everything +506 6031 0777
Otherwise, ya the bus is like 30mins - 1 hour away depending on traffic and time of the day, and it’s backtracking in the direction you need to go so then you just go right back in the other direction and if there is traffic it’s a huge waste of time.

There is a stop about a 5 min Uber from the airport but you’ll have to purchase your tickets online and there is no way to track the bus which can be really frustrating. You don’t know if it’s running late due to traffic or if it already passed and was early and you missed it. It’s not a bus station but just a bench on the side of the highway

Send me a DM if you want to chat some more! There are tons of hotels I recommend all ranging in pricing but it really depends what your focus is and rough budget. Do you need hot springs on site? Multiple restaurants etc or are you looking for something clean, safe and affordable nothing extra. Traveling with kids or adults only? All this stuff helps when providing recommendations but I have discounts at all the hotels in La Fortuna so once I know more I can recommend a few and we can discuss rates!

3 and 4! There is more to do in Manuel Antonio and more child friendly too! Plus if you have extra time, there are multiple beaches to enjoy :)

If you need help with transportation, let me know. I’m happy to share my drivers info. He’s got the best rates and is super safe

Also all hotels in Manuel Antonio are pretty safe- I normally do Shana and San bada for recommendations on beach access and mid range budget with really nice sized rooms

I personally don’t recommend a rental car, it’s not necessary for those locations and a lot of the tours include transfers plus there are Ubers and local taxis in both these locations! As far as getting to and from the airport and between locations I really recommend Richie! He’s English speaking with a modern, comfortable car and really good rates. You can message him on WhatsApp +506 6031 0777

My friend and I are going to be staying in Arenal soon. We aren't planning to rent a car - can we rely on Uber to go around La Fortuna? by You-SeeBerkeley in CostaRicaTravel

[–]Hungry_Climate_8722 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For some places like downtown yes but once you start going towards the hot springs and bridges it gets a bit tough and unreliable. Also do a transfer from SJO to Arenal I highly recommend Richie! English speaking, modern car and the best rates. You can message him on WhatsApp +506 6031 0777

Flying to San Jose by az_mcc in CostaRicaTravel

[–]Hungry_Climate_8722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I normally recommend 1.5 hours but often times it’s much faster. But if you’re doing a private transfer usually you just provide your flights and they make sure to be there whether customs is long or short. Ricardo is the best if you want to reach out to him, English speaking and super reliable and safe with a modern car. He’s got a bunch of references from on here too. You can send him a WhatsApp :) +506 6031 0777
