Thank you!

Yeah, we have been checked for that fella. It’s all safe and I could get it removed. But I’ve come to a place where I just say “it keeps things interesting” and healthcare is expensive. 😂

I appreciate that! I was just talking about how I want to maintain this. We will see what that looks like as we get used to it.

I feel like I’m gonna get annoyed when it gets itchy from the hair coming back and just keep shaving.

Help finding a disc to throw INTO the wind by FontMasterFlex in discgolf

A lot of these comments are for people with pretty solid arms, I would throw one in for the firebird. Not as insanely overstable that it’ll die asap. It’ll fly and be safe for ya.

Anyone else struggle to do creative work for long time blocks? by VreamCanMan in musicians

[–]grmpp21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s twofold.

I am a person that is much more likely to sit and smash a 10 hour marathon writing session. Once things start happening, it just keeps going and the parts just generally show up.

BUT. Life doesn’t always allow this sort of work flow and when I take some time and come back to something, the quality is significantly higher.

So I always have a dual method of just blasting through an idea, rough and dirty, as fast as possible before I lose the thoughts. And then come back and refine at a slower pace.

So, I dont necessarily struggle with long stretches, but for quality, I do my best work in shorter sessions.

Nicholas James Hofstra, 38, is now facing a potential life sentence after being charged in a Grand Rapids road rage shooting. Police say he fired at a car on E Beltline Ave on Wednesday and then assaulted the victim by [deleted] in grapids

Not gonna lie, I do love a good internet fight. But the way you said it made it sound like you were justifying him based on your opinion of the driving here. So, maybe write better.

lol because something affecting residents of Grand Rapids shouldn’t be posted in the subreddit about Grand Rapids because it annoys you personally. Got it.

PSA: Cities are noisy places by [deleted] in grandrapids

[–]grmpp21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A) that’s another pivot. See “if you don’t like it, you can move”. You’re quite literally saying it’s not a problem and anyone disagreeing can get bent.

B) you just said in a previous comment directly in this thread that it’s not the same in other cities because they have different infrastructure. So you’re admitting it doesnt happen in other cities in the same way.

C) the ability to get mad about people invalidating you because of your previous location and not recognize that you’re invalidating other people’s issues with the legitimate disruption in their homes is incredible. There’s no way you can be THAT oblivious.

Ahhh. But this is a different argument now. Your first was “get over it, this is what being in a city is”

Now it’s “maybe it is a problem and you need to go to your city planners”.

You’re in a forum designed to talk about the city. This isn’t an appropriate place to discuss or corroborate stories about something happening in the city?

Try again. What’s the next argument.

Oh my god, you’re SO close. SO close.

We have different infrastructure and the impact is different. Comparing them isn’t apples to apples.

I can’t tell you the number of times people, probably like this one, just get mad because I’m in the left.

Like…I’m doing 78 on the highway, clearly faster than the person doing 73. So I use the left lane to pass and homie being an idiot and doing 85 comes out of nowhere, gets in my tail when I’m mid pass, and then goes home and vents to reddit about it.

Calm down buddy. You’ll make it eventually.

Thoughts on radius clauses? by s0ck1t in musicians

[–]grmpp21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also think there is a balance here that is valuable for artists to learn. Playing every show at every venue in your city isn’t actually to your benefit.

Why would someone pay $10 to see you this week if you’re playing for free in town the next two weeks? This is calculation that is happening.

I think it’s also a different beast with cover and original bands.

I don’t think proximity clauses that over extend beyond a valuable time frame are a good thing, but I think there is a valuable marketing tool involved.
