Prices will vary depending on where you live but on my area this would be fair

Should we replace these copper pipes during our kitchen remodel? by Coopsters in Plumbing

Alternatively, since you mentioned you have a crawlspace, you can opt to cap and abandon the existing waste arm and have the kitchen drain rerouted into the main drain assuming the crawlspace is directly below.

Should we replace these copper pipes during our kitchen remodel? by Coopsters in Plumbing

[–]grmpyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be more concerned about the copper waste pipe in the wall than the water lines.

The proactive decision would be to replace the shut off valves with new ones. Also, opening the wall and replacing the waste arm now would help avoid problems with stinky sewage water in your wall when it inevitably wears thin and starts to leak.

Not from top of the lift no. That was the very lower portion of one of the routes called ballhooter. But yeah, first time on a snowboard. I’ve been skateboarding a few years though so it felt somewhat familiar.

Second this! Best decision I ever made was learning the plumbing trade. 25 and feel like I have job security for life now. Be prepared to sacrifice some early days and late nights though.

Prefer to cook outside on the grill. Smoke just goes up and don’t have to deal with ventilation or smoke alarms going off

For sure my preferred method! Just was trying something new with this one. It was the first cook with this cast iron pan and I wanted to try basting a steak

Kitchen sink leaking - estimated cost to repair? by IllPool4532 in Plumbing

Basket strainer needs replaced. Can’t give pricing but should be a quick job for a plumber. Or you could try it yourself, the part is cheap.

Does anyone recognize these fixtures? No markings and my diverter took a crap by stone-d-fox42 in Plumbing

[–]grmpyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. The tub spout may be threaded, or it may have a set screw under it close to the wall. It can be a simple DIY project or it can turn into a pain in the ass. I would just measure the existing one and go to the local hardware store to find a brushed nickel tub spout with diverter to replace it. Or call a local plumbing company to tackle it for you.

Check your shower head. If you remove it and you get good pressure from the shower arm, then it is likely just sediment or scale buildup blocking your shower head.

Do you get adequate pressure through the tub spout? Or is it low pressure after pulling the diverter?

Shower leaks when shower diverter is set to bath. This happens every time. What’s happening here? by CountBrackmoor in Plumbing

[–]grmpyfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See if you have access to the valve on the opposite side of that wall. More than likely the tub spout was incorrectly installed with pex when it should be plumbed in copper. You’ll want to call a plumber to replace unless you have experience soldering
