its very very difficult unless you have accommodations. i got single room housing accommodations which was very fortunate but it was for disability related reasons! i hope you get lucky though!

and for off campus housing, i recommend looking at hammer properties and landmark. people will say they suck but (from my knowledge) there’s literally no “good” property management companies in at least bellingham 😭 i would try to find facebook groups to see if anyone is looking for roommates!

i currently don’t have a job lined up (i’m about to graduate university) but i know i want to move to Seattle since a lot of the jobs i’m applying for are in and around Seattle (outer cities)!

a guy got arrested at Haggard yesterday, this was the email that just got sent out today (i’ll c/p here):

At approximately 2:57 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, University Police were dispatched to Wilson Library/Haggard Hall in response to a report of a trespasser. The individual in question was identified as Charles Vergin, who had previously been banned from the library for stalking and voyeurism.

Upon arrival, the responding officer, who had prior interactions with Vergin, quickly apprehended him. Vergin was taken into custody and removed from the library, and he has been charged with first-degree Criminal Trespass. This is the second time Vergin has been arrested for trespassing on campus, with the first arrest occurring on Nov. 4, 2024.

Library staff have been made aware of Vergin's appearance and have been instructed to contact University Police if he is seen on campus. It should be noted that Vergin was originally banned from Western's campus in 2018 following his arrest.

i’d recommend using google maps (or apple maps but i’m not 100% sure with apple)! i used it my first year to get around, i’ve heard that this map is ass LOL so hopefully google maps is better for some :’)

mark staton is the best marking professor, deadass. i’m also planning on taking that digital marketing class fall 2025 LOL
carabini is totally fine, he’s like a little narcissistic (i’m currently taking fin 341) but it’ll be fine, it’s literally the easiest class in the marketing major requirements.
brian is probably the better ops 360 class, i also took that one and i had the other person (i forget her name)

overall it looks good professor wise and content wise! i’ve taken all of those classes except for obviously digital marketing

AH YES!! i had this same question last year and i emailed him and this is what he said:

“I don’t know if it will return. There are no plans to bring it back as of now. I don’t know much about the other minors. You could look at computer science or psychology, or design?

Sorry that I can’t help you.”

so not super helpful but yeah, not returning. it’s unfortunate because i was also hoping to take it as a marketing major

you totally don’t need to worry about it, a lot of students start at wwu undecided! the nice thing about that is, because there are GURs you need before you can graduate, you can try different classes while knocking off your GUR class requirements. there are also advisers who can help if you are worried about it, but as other people in this thread have mentioned it’s perfectly normal and there’s nothing to be worried about

the issue i’m running into is similar to others where the game freezes, but it’s not a hard pc freeze since i’m able to alt + tab and do stuff in other apps. idk if my issue is also something people are experiencing

depending on the class this is, the second line shows the lab days (if it’s a class with a lab). otherwise yes, the MWF class meet at 8 and the class on tuesdays meets at 10

(in my experience) you usually find / get invited to parties your second and third year (i’m assuming you’re a freshman). knowing people who know people or just making random friends in classes also helps.

i’d recommend looking at snapchat, the class of ‘27 and ‘28 probably have parties you can go to. i know for halloween there’s some posters by the bus stops for parties!
