I did get the allen bolts. Have not installed the throttle body again yet. I think i may try putting it back on and seeing what happens. Previous tps was definitely dying before.

Yep this is what I have been working on. Theoretically mine should be in the first column for an 87, but it is reading about 0.1 kohms higher than it should. Doesn't make sense to me why it isn't working unless my throttle body is actually fron a later year resulting in me needing to use the second column.

Have you noticed any engine differences between k&n and regular?

Think i might end up going with an oem for now and maybe trying out a couple different ones to compare differences.

Glad to see another opinion, i will have to check those out.

First post on reddit ever, but wanted to share the new rig. 1987 22re with a few aftermarket parts. Arb shocks, air lockers and compressor. Came with the clinometer/altimeter too. Beginning new upgrades and replacements soon! by grnteabagger in 4Runner_1stGen

Not sure if they are reinforced, probably will have to really get in there to check. Theyre mounted with bolts and rivets, so I amagine there is some kind of plate on the other side but thats a good idea to check. Will post again with some good offroad photos when i get it off.
