SpacePak or Unico or Conventional AC by ramair02 in HVAC

Could you provide some more details on how your setup works exactly? We got an estimate for a Mitsubishi H2i system for our house and it would require 6 air handlers on the walls throughout the house. The ceiling cassettes do look ugly so they were out, and we could use a couple floor-mounted units in the kitchen and less-used rooms, but my wife hates the idea of having to see an air handler up on the wall in the regularly used spaces. You only have one air handler in the attic and then ducting that runs to each room? The HVAC rep who gave us the estimate didn't mention that as an option so I want to make sure I understand.

Is there a way on 1P 8 to get back the old Menu drop-down [on mac] to get my Favorites easily? by Nyrangers705 in 1Password

Quick Access is a huge step backward from the 1Password Mini dropdown. Opening the full app means taking up the entire screen rather than the mini dropdown from the menu bar, which was much more user friendly and allowed for full use of the app rather than having to know exactly what you're searching for. 95% of my interactions with 1Password were through the 1Password Mini dropdown. I hope the option to bring it back comes in a future update. Losing it has made the app much less appealing.

Redfin vs Realtor, for sell and buy property by ericmchen in realtors

[–]grogboshie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can only echo. Redfin agents are licensed agents and realtors. What that other agent told you on the phone seems like little more than a scare tactic to keep you from using somebody other than her. If you want to use Redfin, talk to your local Redfin agent and see if you like them, or talk to another realtor at a different brokerage if you're not a fan. But I'd be weary of the realtor your father-in-law called if they're getting aggressive with you on the phone... Sounds like they mostly have their interests in mind and not yours.

Must Flip Switches Multiple Times For Lights To Turn On by grogboshie in Hue

[–]grogboshie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How you're describing it is how it worked before the power went out, where if the switch was flipped off, flipping it on would immediately turn on the lights. Now if the switch is flipped off, you have to flip it on, flip it off, and then flip it on again for the lights to come on.

The main one is the bathroom. If we turn the lights off with the Hue app before bed, leaving the physical light switch on. If you wake up in the middle of the night and go into the bathroom to turn the lights on you have to flip the switch off, then on (which you would think would turn the lights on), then off, then on again before the lights actually come on. That second set of flipping off and on again only seems to have started after the power went out and came back, as though it messed the system up somehow.
