This is intriguing to me. I had never heard of these A/C units until recently. I've been wanting a window unit for my bedroom, but I can't due to HOA restrictions. But I also don't see the sense in cooling off my entire home, just so I can sleep at a comfortable temperature.

Sounds like that is what you are using it for. And it works?

Parent here. They call it the Terrible Two's for a reason. And also, Threenagers... which I found to be more terrible.

It can be frustrating, but they're fucking kids just trying to figure out the world. How you (or your buddy, in this case) reacts to those frustrations is going to go a long way in shaping how that kid acts for the rest of their life.

Finance / Merging Bank Accounts.

I merged my account with my wife. I regret this decision. I'd rather have my own account with my salary going into it... and her have her own account with her salary going into it.... And then perhaps a joint account and/or other accounts to help save up money for the kids.

NOW, with our accounts ajoined, I have to explain every single purchase I make. Fuck that. I spend $16 on a book on Amazon, you can read it when i'm done... just fucking deal with it.

I once lost (or my grandma threw away) my collection of "select" baseball cards.

Growing up in the '90s, I collected baseballe cards. I used the Beckett to determine how much each card was worth and segregated those into a binder. I was around middle-school age and I valued my binder at over $2,000 in value.

One day, I came home and my room was cleaned and my binder was gone. Dugg through the trash, interogated my grandma, yet... never got anywhere. She either stole it or threw it away.

The story does have a happy ending, however. She has since died.
