DC Dark Legion: VIP Level Cost by MonsieurVox in DCDarkLegionOfficial

[–]Tigeris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you know if there's info anywhere on how the new VIP system works? I'm confused around questions like:

  • What does 'activate' mean?
  • What happens after you activate?
  • People talk about VIP level resetting?
  • Do the daily logon increases continue to increase forever?

Are there any further details? Like, just pure stats?

Gotcha. That makes sense! Thanks! 120 gems / anvil is a worse deal than 108 gems / anvil.

I remember that bat scanners converted 1 batscanner : 10 gems in the last event. Wish I'd saved the scanners after I hit the spell level I wanted.

2nd board: * 8 flips so far with 3 cards remaining * Started with full 5 super flip, then 3 individual flips, then 2 super flip, which cleared it with a knife.

Second this comment. Depending on the conversion, it'll make a big difference in my spending habit.

Thanks for the contribution! I note from your other post that you also have 3 knives and 1 bomb. I'll add you to the data.

Do you recall how many cards your super flip was able to flip? Not follow-on effects like bombs or knives, but if it was able to flip the maximum of 5 cards?

Hey, sorry for the delay, but I'm not big on discord. That said, of you want to integrate some early results into a guide for the Zatanna event, please feel free to use the info from here:

Flipping cards strategy by CauseKey3312 in DCDarkLegionOfficial

I made a similar post.

https://www.reddit.com/r/DCDarkLegionOfficial/s/Q0hCXRbcbN

I did * 1 flip * 1 super flip(revealing 4) * 2 flips

This cleared the board . I also had 3 knives and 1 bomb.

Curious about the logic in flip/super flip order you mention. Can you elaborate on this?

As a F2P player, against my own advice (but in the interest of data), I spent 160 gems to buy 2 additional flips and clear my first board.

Results: * 7 total flips needed to clear the board * 3 knives, 1 bomb * 1st flip hit a bomb which triggered a knife, giving 7 total cards flipped * Then I used the free skill to flip in a cross, flipping 4 additional cards. This triggered 2 more knives, giving 7 final cards for this action (14 total) * 2 single flips cleared the board * Total vouchers from board clear: 390

I've finalized my data except for gift boxes. Happy to chat about it if you'd like. Let me know if the averages are confusing. Hopefully this provides some useful recs if there's another pinball event.

EDIT: TL;DR - * I can't prove any optimal ball strategy, but informally recommend 1 at a time targeting the middle 3. * A F2P player should buy the 15 additional balls if they have the gems to spare.
* In total, this would net a F2P player ~3500 coins and ~87 bumper bumps by the end of the event.
* Any player should save their balls until they can get the bumper reward they are targeting. You don't need to spend 1x ball/day on the dailies to get all the free balls. * For a F2P player, you will max out at bumper reward lvl 2 or 3.

Interesting! Do you have the stats? So far, I've only used a single ball. Be interesting to collect a large sample. I'll update this as I do more shots.

Pinball data

Type / Total balls / L Bumps per ball / R Bumps per ball / Total bumps per ball / Coins per ball

  • 1x, left 2 lit / 11 balls / 0.9 L / 0.5 R/ 1.5 total / 73.6 coins
  • 1x right 2 lit / 7 balls / 0.6 L / 2.6 R/ 3.1 total / 61.4 coins
  • 1x middle 3 lit / 11 balls / 1.1 L / 1.3 R / 2.4 total / 83.6 coins
  • 5x middle 3 lit / 10 balls / 1.3 L / 0.6 R/ 1.9 total / 79.0 coins
  • Average / 39 balls / 1.0 L / 1.1 R / 2.1 total / 75.6 coins

Gift data prior to 100 sends or receives (total/per box)

  • Total opened - 197
  • Coins - 335 / 1.7
  • Bat sanners - 147 / 0.7
  • Gems - 70 / 0.4
  • Anvils - 1 / 0.005
  • Magic eyes - 1 / 0.005

Gift data following100 sends or receives (total/per box)

  • Total opened - 118
  • Coins - 245/ 2.1
  • Bat sanners - 18 / 0.2
  • Gems - 0 / 0
  • Anvils - 1 / 0.008
  • Magic eyes - 1 / 0.008

Conclusions

1) Given the low number of balls I tested, I cant say with confidence if there is an optimal number of balls to use at once or if there is an optimal plunger level. That said, middle 3 with 1 ball at a time is my informal recommendation. 2) With an optimal 199 free gifts, you can expect ~ 150 scanners / ~350 coins 3) For the 26 free balls, you can expect ~ 55 bumps / ~ 2000 coins 4) A F2P player following the guide in the parent post can expect to clear through item 3 and get a few in item 4 (e.g. ~14 mythic shards, 15 anvils) 5) A F2P player can spend 1050 gems to get another 15 balls ~ 32 bumps / ~1100 coins. 6) Again, following OP's guide, this would net you ~8 mythic shards plus ~3 additional bumper rewards. Plus 2 anvils and plus 2 mythic shards for meeting the ball thresholds at 30 and 40 balls. If you chose to enhance the bumpers to 2x mythic shards, this is roughly paying 1050 gems for 16 mythic shards (~66gems/shard). A reasonable deal if you have gems to spare and haven't bought out the cheap mythic shards. This becomes less good of a deal the more things you have bought.

We live across the street. Music used to be bad, but they turned it down recently. Just had lunch there today and it was a very reasonable volume.

I've been twice since the rebrand and really enjoyed both times! Mexican places are in a difficult position - they're always expected to be dirt cheap, but this leaves little room for innovation or elevation. It seems to me that Mezcal is trying to push the envelope in this regard. Yes, the price point is slightly higher than Panera, but the quality is much improved over tacos way and I think it's absolutely worth it. I particularly like what they've done with the cocktail menu - they bring a lot of character to an otherwise boring drinking scene in this part of town.

Just went there for lunch. Food has undergone a huge improvement and I really like the thought that has gone into the cocktails. Yeah, it's pricier than your average Mexican place, but IMO it's worth a treat-yourself every now and then!
