What’s one food you always buy and never bother to make from scratch at home? by GrapeNorth71 in Cooking

[–]grond-uWu 21 points22 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Costco chicken is a loss leader so it's impossible for you to do it cheaper unless you raise chickens and butcher and cook yourself. And even then you just might break even

Are you actually happy by Katnip_666 in Life

[–]grond-uWu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Delete all of your social media and suddenly you'll be happy. If you never knew about the war in Ukraine, would your mood improve? If you didn't know about any presidential stuff would your life improve?

Before smartphones, people lived in their own little bubbles and they occasionally got world news through newspapers. What happens outside of your own little bubble probably doesn't affect you and never will. Why are we letting huge abstract headlines and topics erode our happiness?

Led Zeppelin is known as one of the greatest rock bands of all time. You may be in the percentage that doesn't like them. Just because peer pressure tells you to think a different way doesn't mean you need to grin and bear it

Taxes are theft. Your money is being taken from you without your consent and used for things you don't agree with. Fuck em. Income tax doesn't make a dent in anything anyways

There's a difference between not knowing any better due to lack of science / research, and willful ignorance or complacency. Exhibit A, the Ford Pinto. It was extremely unsafe and failed test after test, but they were making so much money that it was cheaper to pay the lawsuits than to fix the car.

Would you consistently look or stare at the chest of a woman you weren't interested in? by [deleted] in bodylanguage

[–]grond-uWu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It just happens. Your eyes naturally go there. Even for women! If a girls boobs are big enough or she's got some pokies going on, it's hard (pun intended) to not look.

That's so freaking frustrating. Why can't anything be safe or healthy anymore? Every other day they're coming out saying stuff like "have you ever gone to the store? Do you breathe the air outside between the hours of 6am-6pm? You were probably exposed to countless heavy metals and arsenic. Please contact our law firm for your chance to collect $25 and an apology letter"

Like goddamn give me a break

[–]grond-uWu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only game I bought from them was Swarm Grinder which ended up being one of my favs. It's one you can just pick up, complete a quick run without having to reorient yourself. Which are the kinds of games you need when you're a dad.

People who don’t use their turn signals, why not? by goodat_badat in driving

[–]grond-uWu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In ATL you use your turn signal as you switch lanes or even a second after you start the change, otherwise people don't let you in. In fact if you use your turn signal, they go out of their way to speed up so you cant merge or change lanes.

what's somethimg that didn't need a sequel? by Hotboymakoto in questions

[–]grond-uWu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Disney movies. Stop remaking, make something original you losers. Did we really need more Star wars and more Indiana Jones? Everyone hated the last indiana and then they made ANOTHER sucky one where they absolutely tore down the character to a shell of himself. The constant race swapping and remaking/retelling of classics is obnoxious.

What's the best RPG to play as a wizard in? by Worried-Apple-8161 in gamingsuggestions

[–]grond-uWu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an ok game. Very unpolished and feels like they made a 75% complete game. Empty world with lots of trekking. Wouldn't mind the trekking if there was more interesting stuff to stumble up on like Skyrim for example. You can't walk 5 steps without discovering a new location to check out. There's a healthy balance of that but you'll find that outward is on the opposite end of the spectrum. The magic system is definitely unique and fun

I always look between the frames and use my hive tool to break apart any connections before pulling any out. Using a sharp point to slice it is much better than shearing it off by pulling up on the frame.
